I have not seen anyone do that. The ones that do the attacks IMO are the quiet ones in the background and would not draw attention to themselves in that manner as a rule.

It should have been obvious really that something was going on in the Muslim world and that might be it.- I can't think of a single Muslim country which is a) not f***ed up. B) has a contented and harmonious population and c) is free of oppression of minorities . There may be one  or two - I just can't think of any and I resent the poisonous element bringing their shite over to my country.

Apart from reporting odd behavior what can family and communities do. A lot of Mosques already turn away anyone that have extreme views. They will be the ones on the watch list. But just having views is not a crime in itself. Whether there is a way of getting round this I do not know. It will be like someone saying I understand why they feel that way and before they know it the cops are breaking down their door.

I've not noticed anyone from any mainstream party having the will to deal with terrorism or the slightest chance of their being elected or backed in doing the job if they were.

 

In the end we will pay dearly and it will be some of all our kids and grandkids who will suffer and wonder why we let it happen - and that includes the families of incomers who've come here for a better future. 

 

UKIP briefly held some promise - I know from listening to an entire conference that they were far more moderate than the politicals of the press painted - but they were so pathetic in selecting their representatives and far too many were seemingly into it for their own, rather than the nation's benefit, they were beyond supporting with an conviction.

 

Now I've no faith in anyone.

 

Politically we're a washout right now. May's the only reasonably sensible vote but it's a real Hobson's choice and I might not vote at all because what we've got right now is what I've always believed democracy could be. And exercise in voting for people we don't want.

 

You need someone special running a country. And we're not likely to have that with so many people with their own sometimes blind and unseeing prejudices, making the choice.

Bloody hell. They don't muck about, those coppers, do they? From seeing stuff in TV dramas you sort of expect them to walk slowly up to the bad guys or shoot them from behind cover.  This is more like wading into a fist fight, but instead of with a bottle or cosh in hand, it's a machine gun.

 

They're fantastically well trained aren't they? Given that they almost never fire their weapons in anger, they've sorted those c***s out in the blink of an eye

To be fair if you hardly ever fire your gun in anger you have plenty of time to train.  Yes though, very impressive.

This is exactly what needs to happen. I'm not saying listening to this guy is going to deradicalise folk but it's exactly the frank, open and articulate discussion that is needed about Islam from Muslims themselves. Been reading into the guy and what he says since I saw the video and he really is excellent.

I think politicians in this country should take note on how to discuss and debate.

 

Edit: Basically the guy on the left is a radical muslim, the guy on the right is a progressive, but still moderate, Kuwaiti called Dr. Nasser Dashti.
