What's his range of passing like? Yes, he is a ball winner (just see a little bit of Portugal - Croatia in Euro16 and see what he has done to Modric) He is good at set pieces and has a very good passing skill. Although, he lacks in long shots for example.

I know you or other Sporting fans probably did it last summer but my memory is shot to bits. What are his strengths, what are his weaknesses? how did he play last season? Cheers man He is a kind of box-to-box midfielder, with high pace, knows how to defend and can help in attack - he isn't 'creative' and can't get past defenders alone like Mahrez but he really helps in attack and has good passing abilities to get the ball to a free player. Is a kind of Okazaki in midfield - always running and pressing to get the ball back to his team. But more skilled. In Premier league his pace wouldn't be so above average - premier football is faster and have more phisically strong players, but still he is really good taking the ball back and despite he isn't a creative he has good skills with the ball in his feet and passing to his team mates. Very good penalty taker, maybe the best portuguese player scoring penalty's, even then C. Ronaldo. Between good and average free kick taker - knows how to put the ball in penalty area for heading, but when shooting directly he misses a lot.

The kind of player we should have gone all out for last summer. We wouldn't have our best players wanting out now.

I actually would be quite pleased if we sold Danny and brought this lad in.
Steve Earle Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 Good luck Rudders negotiating with Sporting's president on deadline day!!

Jimbo Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 This has to be bollox? It's gonna be a long day, again!!?? You'd think as Leicester fans we'd be used to this by now wouldn't you!? Our most exciting deadline day was when we signed Waghorn last minute! Why do I buy into this every single year!!
FoxOfMelton Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 This is the only way I'd be ok with Drinky leaving. Silva is an excellent replacement.

norwichfox Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 will he be bringing his own sick note, or do we need to play him first?
