Tuna Posted 29 July 2017 Share Posted 29 July 2017 Would like to see a different approach/formation. Why not try 4-2-3-1 with Lawrence, Iborra and Albrighton behind Vardy?

rn9013 Posted 29 July 2017 Share Posted 29 July 2017 Do we think this will be a 'strong' line up. With Monchengladbach 3 days later I would have thought that would have been the game we'd have seen the strongest 11. So maybe a few more of the fringe players to feature against Burton? Foxxed Posted 30 July 2017 Share Posted 30 July 2017 I'd like to to try putting Chilwell into the first team. He and Lawrence seemed the only ones up for it. And if the players are worrying as much as we are then some enthusiasm may work wonders. Ideally we'd try the same team as yesterday, and if they're still flat, bring Chilwell and Lawrence on to try to inject some urgency into the team. Or just try: Huth Maguire Morgan Albrighton Chilwell Ndidi Iborra Mahrez Slim Vardy If we can't get more than one shot on target with that it'd be incredible. Bring Lawrence on up front as sub later in the second half.
Quorndon_Fox Posted 30 July 2017 Share Posted 30 July 2017 Not bothered by the lineup. Sold out terrace in a compact ground, lets just make a **** load of noise and get behind the lads. One way of waking them up from a lazy preseason mentality.

We will be mullered by Arsenal in less than two weeks unless there is a mighty change in mentality. So far though I'm with you that we've been beyond bad.

yorkie1999 Posted 30 July 2017 Share Posted 30 July 2017 I'd like to see us switch to a 3-5-2 with gray and vardy up front and albrighton and chillwell as wing backs. Both can play in that role. A midfield of ndidi playing behind Iborra and drinkwater and simpson McGuire and Fuchs as the back 3.

EnglishOxide Posted 31 July 2017 Share Posted 31 July 2017 Remember it's pre season lads. We aren't going to play with any intensity until the Arsenal game so it's not worth judging performances too much.

Albrighton seemed determined to spend all of Saturday playing at full back so would need to spend more time further up the field. I'd be tempted to field Slim as well given his proposed 90 minutes at the weekend was cut short.
