I think he is out of his depth. He hasn't been able to change anything in the style of play since Feb when he got the job. Still trying to play 15/16 tactics. For F**k sake, work on a change in the next two weeks to our style or just go!!! We have been left behind tactically since winning the title. 3 more games and if we don't get a couple of wins, then goodbye.

Who are the 27% who want to keep him in the Gaelic Foxes poll? Surely you can't be that optimistic, do you want us to be relegated? We may get 40 points through hoofing but I'd rather take a chance now ta!

I still think its a couple of weeks too early for me to vote OUT.  Not that i dont see where the 73% who have voted this are coming from, but you  have to take into consideration many things have gone against him so far.. Injuries/Silva /Hard games etc.

Cant judge shakey on this current situation....we dont have a midfield, its as simple as that.

If we didnt have a defence we wouldnt win games likewise if we didnt have a forward line.

Can anyone name a manager in world football that can win games without a midfield?????

This season we've drawn two and won one of our easier matches. Beat West Brom he'll be doing just enough to survive.

I hope he survives and he has time to improve here. But I can't see the club risking relegation to give shakey management experience.

I'm fed up with containing teams, setting up to defend first. And even though we still do it we're still shit at defending.

I want a manager who plays fast, attacking, football. Who isn't scared to go at teams.

I'm bored of Albrighton, he offers a very limited attacking threat (the odd decent cross per game) - yes he "works hard" but sometimes it's not enough.... We should be playing Mahrez and Gray out wide. At least these two try and do something - get the ball down, run at opposition, shoot from long range, try and create.

I'm bored of not having a central midfielder that will pick the ball up and drive forward. King, a player with 50+ goals for us, goes sidewards and backwards as if he is a holding midfielder.

I'm bored of a boring style of play, kicking the ball constantly long to poor old Vardy who has absolutely no chance.

We have Iheanacho, a £25mill forward who had a very good strike conversion rate, sat on the bench. He isn't going to get match fit playing 10 minutes every week. Shakespeare doesn't seem to dare make a change. He can't even change from 442.

"We've had a hard start" - yeah, and we've been totally dominated by Huddersfield and Bournemouth.

This is all going pear shaped. Hopefully the Owners will have sounded out a potential replacement for when the inevitable happens this time around.

I’m struggling to think of anybody else who might hold the responsibility.

Five weeks after the transfer window shut and our £85m of signings are still struggling to get into the side? A side wholly reliant on a misfiring, predicatable and trite 442 “I hope we don’t lose” mindset.

He does the training, he oversees the therapy, he picks the squad, he selects the tactics, he makes signing requests, and he is responsible for the in-game management...and yet, for reasons that utterly elude me, Creg isn’t responsible?

Please tell me who the fvck is?

We know they should, but then they should have done this the past two times and didn’t. And they should have tried finding someone instead of Creg, but they didn’t.

They won’t.

They’ll wait until the next window closes then appoint Iain Dowie.

There isn't one because if a manager doesn't have the players he buys them.

Christ...is that right?

85 mill of signings struggling to get into the the side?

What the fook has happened to us over the last year or two? It's gone from brilliant planning and recruitment to something akin to an amateur set up.

If the owners did get rid of Shakespeare who could we realistically get in that's any good?

Saw the Ancelotti thread. Keyword being realistic.

I don't see the point in sacking Shakespeare if the people in charge of player recruitment remain. We are paying top dollar for bog average players and wonder why it all goes to pot with a few short term injuries. If the equivalent of the Silva fiasco happened in any other multi million pound business heads would have rolled.

Rafael Benitez or Pulis should be ideal candidates. Mike Ashley and the NUFC board did not support him during the transfer window,l....

Whilst Shakey did well at a number two, the owners and Whelan need to take actions during the international break!

There would be a queue, both employed and not, who'd see this as a job they'd be interested in.

I'd imagine too that there'd be so thought 'big' names in there !

Despite the current situation we're still more of a potential fringe force than a basket case !

Names? Benitez is the only name I've seen mentioned that's interesting so far. Pellegrini? Can't imagine China is that great to manage in, unless it's all about the $

I really wanted for Shakespeare to work out, and it looked like it was after he first took over from Ranieri but now it's pretty clear that he's not the answer

I kept thinking the injuries aren't helping, he needs time but after that shower of shit today and his stubbornness even when the system isn't working, I really hope the owners are making a shortlist. Hopefully he can stay on as a coach, but right now we need results and fast. Barely threatened a hugely out of form Bournemouth. I'd expect even the team we put out for League Cup games to do better than we managed today. Not good enough.
