Seems like Mahrez's agent has offered him to Barcelona.

It would make sense for Barca to end up with Mahrez. With two weeks left on the mercato, Dembele and Coutinho are going to cost an arm and a leg, especially because clubs know how desperate Barcelona is for a replacement for Neymar.

Plus Messi stated his admiration for Mahrez, so it wouldn't be such a bad signing if it were to happen.

Mate, he's not going there. He'd struggle to make it to the bench.

I'm not saying they have something against them. But they don't believe they could generate as much money from them. Don't misunderstand me, its not a question of racism, its economic

Ridiculous. Conspiracy theory much?

mahrez needs to have a word with himself.  It is great that he has ambition.. but he must realize that despite all the hard work by his agent there are not suitors coming forward... and that's because he isn't playing like a 50m player.  His future is in his own hands.  But his current situation is stalled because fo his form... only he can sort it out.

Frankly there is lesson here...

I've been at a music festival with no signal or battery since Thursday. A whole lot of new posts since then. Have there been any concrete developments in the Mahrez to ??? saga or is it just more pages of conjecture and rumour?

Whatever, Barca is done anyway. Cheating c*nts.

No more Neymar, no more Dani Alves, soon no more Iniesta. Whereas Real Madrid is just improving and improving. Without arguably their best player they managed to destroy barca at the camp nou

Over the past 12 months Mahrez has shown that he isn't as good as he thinks he is and it seems that he is already playing for a team above his level based on recent performances. I'd even go as far as to say he is lucky to have us, not us lucky to have him. He has proven himself to be nothing more than a passenger.

That's what i think, ATM Riyad is not good enough to play for Leicester. But is it only "ATM" ? He has only one good season with the club, other than that, he was average. So i'm wondering, maybe have we seen last season the true Riyad ?

Wait what? He was one the best performers in the preseason. So what is this recent performance you speak of? The first game of the season against a team that was interested in him then changed their minds?

Erm, any competitive match in the past 12 months should back up my theory, including Friday night against Arsenal. He was / has been useless. Currently he isn't good enough for our first 11,  let alone any top European side.

With all due respect to our pre-season opponents, they were not exactly of Arsenal's quality. Add to that that the games are friendlies and it doesn't say too much.

I don't think it would hurt the team (or Mahrez) to start on the bench in the next few games. He came on in a few of the games in pre-season and had an effect and he might feel he has a point to prove if is not playing.

there is z win win solution :

loan mahrez for roma for one year

mahrez get the benefits of physical preparation ( zidane has become more stronger znd fit when playing at the juventus ) znd will return to Leicester next year so he can tackle znd help his RB

ecerybody will be happy

Do year seriously think Roma would stump up 100% of his wages? If not, bin idea, plus running down 1 year off his contract weakens our position 12 months down the line. Cannot see how this is not a lose-win scenario.

What an awful idea. Fail to see how we benefit from that scenario

What a load of bollox. Even by FT standards.

I can agree with that, but I don't think Shakey will not start him. He will start regardless of how he played VS Arsenal

Yeah, he is utter rubbish, that is why our board is asking £50M,

we are taking the piss by out-pricing him in order to thwart his move dreams.

Erm what? Look at the current market. We are just getting what we deserve based on the current state of football transfers. It's not our fault nobody wants to pay it

I think the point is you can't believe he is worth £50m or more and think that he isn't good enough to play now or was just a one season wonder.

One of the best players I've ever seen in a Leicester shirt is my assessment

Let’s be honest, if we we had a starting XI of Neuer, Marcelo, Alves, Ramos, Pique, Iniesta, Kroos, Kante, Messi, Ronaldo and Suarez ..... some on here would most likely berate them, not call them good enough and want to get rid as they’d not produced in the odd game.

Mahrez is in that tier of players, which is just below the elite in modern football. £50,000,000 is still cheap in comparison to what you could buy.
