Solid player. Would imagine he is who we are lining up as a replacement in case someone puts in a last minute (reasonable) bid for Mahrez comes in. As mentioned, Spurs fans were not pleased to lose him so I have high hopes of it comes to it, regardless of price.

We've all seen players go to teams for the money, is it just something's we aren't willing to do? Pay them way over the odds in wages

We may not even get to the point of discussing wages with a player but I do think as a club we have certain structures we want to maintain. All of our success was built upon team spirit and togetherness so perhaps you are right, we don't want to upset and disrupt the squad. Also if you pay over the odds for one player, it has a knock on effect for the rest of our business. Teams and players will expect more money. You only have to look at what the Neymar transfer has done to the rest of the market.

Personally, holding onto the likes of Mahrez, Drinkwater and Vardy would be a pretty successful transfer window. If we can add another centre back I'd be happy.

81% pass completion? Watch that go down to 60% when he moves here lol

How does he have 81% pass completion playing under Pulis.

Apparently started off superbly at WBA but went massively downhill. Would replace some creativity if we lost Mahrez but I don't think WBA would be too sad to see him leave.

Did he have a chant sung by the tune of Winehouse's Valerie? Just like Chahadleeee, Cha aad leeee

Either way whenever he scored I'd have that going through my head, in a kinda strange Indian accent sometimes.

No anyway, look around some of the French/Belgian Leagues for a bargain - unless we'll need a known quantity as someones off, even then he's underwhelming

He's out of form, and not good enough for WBA.

Not for me.

Albrighton was out of form and deemed not good enough for Villa, the same for Huth.

He's a good finisher, higher goals per90 than Riyad from less shots and as far as I'm aware doesn't take penalties either so he'd be more of a goal threat to a side reliant on Vardy too.

Townsend and now Chadli.

Lets hope we ask all the average PL clubs about all their average players and at least one of them will relieve of us this £30m we're determined to piss away.

My West Brom season ticket mate states that there are known problems with Chadli in that he thinks training is too hard and he doesn't feel that he, as an individual, should have to attend as much as he does. His attitude allegedly he makes Pullis's day! Sounds a great prospect for a happy camp! Didn't exactly set Spurs on fire ie lazy and inconsistent  (dare I say it, from a mate who's a Spurs fan, that's it, I can see me getting barred now!) .

The same Spurs fan about doubled up laughing at the rumour Townsend might be up for sale for 27million! 'God, he's crap mate' came the comment. 'He's a one trick pony, have a look how long he was with us for, how many loan deals, and how few games in all that time he played in,  there's a good reason for that  hiding in there somewhere!'

Just passing all the nice comments on.

Mind you, Townsend's not exactly found a home gagging to keep him since Spurs really has he.

That lazy guy who fought with the coach bc he thought the coach trained them too hard? Not the sort of attitude I want on the team, though I suppose I don't know all the details. Didn't he stay home from the team trip to Austria to train bc he didn't want to do it?

Kinda gross.

Also, he doesn't like to tackle?

Stats are good but they don't show the full picture - Albrighton is a completely different winger to any of the others there and Gray features in much shorter periods of time than the others, despite a similar amount of appearances. I'd argue whilst Chadli and Townsend have better stats, that I could see us being a worse side if one of those two was to replace Albrighton in the starting 11 due to the way we play, of course though if we do sign one of either of them two they could prove me wrong, but I think either of them coming in will be simply to compete against Mahrez this season and be his replacement after next season.

Certainly wouldn't be a MA replacement, we could do with another winger that's good in defence and attack. If we are holding a lead sometimes we are crying out to replace the fragile in defence Mahrez or give MA a rest, but with only Gray there he's too attacking to risk at times IMO.

Two very attacking and two a bit more defensively capable would be a good mix to have.

The first sentence doesn't make Chadli a good buy by the same token.

I have never really thought of him as a winger.

More a striker who doesn't score many goals?

We already have Okazaki, we don't need another one.
