Adrien Silva - Terms Agreed

Recommended Posts

Augusto Inácio, an ex-director of Sporting Clube de Portugal, who knows insides in Sporting CP, said a couple minutes ago on tv (RTP 3) that Adrien Silva IS a Leicester City FC player.

Others questioned him about 'what if' FIFA doesn't accept the papers?

He repeated: Adrien Silva is a Leicester City player. He has contract with Leicester.

As if, if FIFA doesn't accept the papers, Adrien Silva will be training with Leicester City until December.

....

Augusto Inácio was a very good player at his time, was and still is a decent manager (winning/Champion in portuguese League as a manager in Sporting 15 ago) and worked until last year as director in Sporting Clube de Portugal, and he still knows what happens in Sporting.

..

Hope FIFA accept the papers/transfer.

Again, that's not necessarily the case if Leicester put preconditions in the contract that it's only a valid contract up gaining clearance.

It's hard not to imagine a team meeting of somebody dishing out brown envelopes full of cash and a few booby prizes for the lowest bribes taken, followed by a slideshow presentation of Quatar related jokes about public stupidity and footballers with heatstroke. 10am sees the arrival of the Eastern European girls imprisoned across the road on a 3 year sex trade deal as part of the add ons which helped secure Russia hosting rights. 11am they'll flip a coin, decide the paperwork was too late and Silva will be living on Belvoir Drive at the YMCA until January.

Fifa decides Adrien's future

Journal of Sports4 Sep 2017

| AFP
FIFA already has all the documents relating to the transfer of Adrien Silva to Leicester City and is expected to make a decision today after negotiations between the two clubs have been completed beyond the closing time of the market. According to the Record newspaper, the player will be assured of good news from FIFA, since he has already been registered by the foxes in the English League. However, there is a risk that the opinion of the body that manages the world football will be negative and the Portuguese midfielder will be forced to stop for four months.

He can say what he likes but two things can happen:

a) The deal has gone through and Silva is a Leicester City player

or

b) The deal hasn't gone through and he's a Sporting player.

I can't envisage a situation that the deal wasn't done on time but Leicester are still forced to buy a player that cannot play. Either we bought him or we didn't.
