Vardy - I want to win more trophies

Let's face it, we are just circling the drain and its only a matter of time til we go down again. Without significant improvements to our executives and structure off the pitch we will not become established at this level, we just aren't run well enough and using periodic £20m-30m signings as sticking plasters won't keep you up forever. Since the day the Thais arrived we've been a shambles consistently when we haven't had Pearson here to manage the club on and off the pitch.

Hell 15 months on from winning the flipping title we are no more established than the day we got promoted.

I think the players who came up with us are starting to realise that now.

What's wrong with our players, such a lack of respect being shown to the club at the minute. No problem talking about wanting to win more trophies, but openly discussing moving on is crossing the line.

This seems like a come and get me plea from Vardy, maybe it's because his mate has got his move that way but I don't think it helps that the manager has no authority, the players are running things now and it seems like they can do and say whatever.

Wondered how long it would take to blame the manager...

Well since he's came in charge they all want to leave! Something must be going on behalf be the scenes maybe he's too soft?

Nigel demanded loyalty that's all gone

contract until 2020 with no release clause. I don't think any small club could afford him, or any big club would want him.

I don't thnk he's going anywhere until he's 34

Good luck to Vardy whatever he does, I'm grateful that he stayed. I was gutted that Kante left as I would have liked that team to stay together for one more season just to see if we could compete for the top four again. Kante bailed out on us at the first opportunity but Mahrez and Vardy stayed.

Vardy leaving wouldn't be terrible for us now the transfer window has passed. He's 31 in January and would only go mid season for a big fee and if we were mid table . By next summer he'll be 31.5 and a player who relies on pace so much it wouldn't be the worst time to sell because we'll only sell for good money.

Or they want to leave now bigger teams are intersted. I seem to remember Kante left before he was in charge. Name me a club that's never lost a player to bigger club willing to pay bigger wages, shall we slate their managers as well. Bloody Ferguson, too soft letting Ronaldo go to Madrid.

I agree. We've got players loitering in foreign airports desperate to move and now Vardy basically saying he's going to leave if an offer comes in. Some very unprofessional behaviour imo.

I think we really missed the boat when we won the title and bought some right sh1te ..   now we need to rebuild properly and bring on some young talent ..   we have plenty of it here and I would love to see them be given some regular game time, which combined with the older 'stars' who don't want to leave (theres plenty of them too !) would be good to watch.  If a player is at the club and the window has closed then he should shut up, buckle down and get on with it (Vardy) ...   I now wish Mahrez, as good as he is, would have gone ..  he is destabilising and doesn't help matters.  Gray then gets his big chance that he keeps asking for ...   if he develops brilliant ..  if not, take the money and re invest.

Why is everyone such a pessimist?

He wants to win trophies. Everyone does.

Why do you automatically think he's off?

To be fair Babs every time I mention lack of respect and wanting the best for OUR club I seem to get shot down on here. You are right, this is starting to take the piss now but no fvcker will see it

And WHY can't they win things here? Surely if we took the cups a bit more seriously this year why not us winning things?

and who knows if the players actually knuckle down and play well for US you never know ?

That's how it is when you taste success. They want to go to a club where the chances of winning something aren't a one-off. You can't blame him, he's 31 in a couple of months. Time is running for him, especially since his main strengh is his pace. If he loses it there won't be a lot a big clubs hunting for him.

I for one think his biggest chance went to dust when he snubbed Arsenal (which was awesome) and can only see him going abroad (USA or China). If a serious offer comes in the summer he'll be off.

I understand the theory about a better chance elsewhere but WHY not with us? If the players put there all in it is possible to win things here

re the china or USA thing I agree he will prob move on next summer or the one after

i think i would be more concerned if he said he didnt want to win more trophies. He is like any other player in the world he will want one last big contract to see him right for the rest of his life. They all do it and fair play to him.

We missed that boat last year. Silva should have come last year. A quality CB and real CF too. Not a Musa. Now with Drinkwater gone, Silva unable to play until january and Mahrez on his way out he probably feels that it will be a long time before we're in any position to win something (I don't even speak about the PL title).

I also suppose that the dressing room isn't all that great at the moment. With Drinkwater who was apparently an essential in the dressing room, gone, Mahrez' hopes and ego shot down, Gray not happy after his move to Bournemouth getting blocked. The atmosphere must surely be gloomy.

Just seen something about this on SSN.

Some one at the club, needs to put a lid on this.

Far too many players openly coming out talking about leaving.

WE OUR NOT A HAPPY SHIP!

We cant be:ph34r:

Owners need to put at PR statement out regarding lcfc plans . Cause this ship looks rudderless ATM.

Players taken over the aslylum!

For me it looks like a classic case of promoting the assistant. There are so many companies that have a policy to never do this as the respect isn't shown from the people they worked with whilst an assistant. CS, nice guy, good coach, maybe incredible manager ...... But my view is that he should have made that step up to management somewhere else and we should have got an established manager in..... for this very reason.
