Reasons to keep Shakespeare

Recommended Posts

Well we are where we deserve to be, in the bottom 3.

Listening to the sky pundits earlier, and I never thought I'd agree with them, but they are saying what I have for ages, Shakespeare's ambition before and during a game is negative, sets up not to lose, at the expense of any real attacking threat.

For me if it's more of the same Monday, and he changes nothing, and isn't learning, he can go for me, the sooner the better, whilst there is plenty of time to recover.

Funny to think Palace are only 2 points behind us after only just scoring their first 2 goals of the season today

Palace are away at Newcastle and Bournemouth at Stoke next weekend, both winnable fixtures.

Would we be happy with Shakespeare as our manager at Championship level?

Serious question.

No.

Not happy with him as Manager.

Not happy about being in the Championship.

Sacking him would mean losing a key member of what he was - assistant/backroom staff; without him, Pearson wouldn't probably have been as successful as he was whilst at Leicester.

Biggest issue for me with CS is blaming the tough start ......instantly fearing and accepting we would do well to get points against the Top 6. 7 games in and already sides have beat Arsenal and Chelsea whilst Liverpool do not look all conquering.

We have become little ol Leicester again because of CS’s attitude - almost sending a signal we are inferior ......yes he is Limited tactically but I hate the negative talk.

Players have a lot to answer for too over the past 12 months and time for the owners to show some real leadership - sod keeping them happy put someone in charge who will put a variety of tactics together with us utilising the talent we have and not fearing our opponents - devising a set up to enable us to be effective in midfield with the talent of Gray, Mahrez, Albrighton, Vardys, Kelechi to create or score goals should not be as difficult as it is being made to be.......

Let's blame shakey for us dropping in the bottom 3 when we haven't even played yet. ?

We've played 7 games so far and looked pretty useless in most of them.

6 points out of a possible 30 stretching back into last season...1 win in 10...relegation form.

Looked good at Arsenal and against Liverpool could of had 4points out of them we had a bit of bad luck with the two handballs. We've played 4 very good teams so to be honest we're not far from where we should be if we win on Monday.

If Silva had come in the last transfer window, would his experience have change matters to some extent?

No because he would need time to adjust anyway.

Bit like Moyes at Sunderland "We are in a relegation scrap" - after losing their first match

Arsenal put four past us, and Liverpool should have been out of sight by half time.

If that's us 'looking good', I'd hate to see us looking bad.

This is Leicester, I know we're not on many points but like said we've played 4 decent teams and we've been in every game. The wins will come.

Was that on Sky? Missed that.

But that's no reason to keep someone promoted beyond their compitance
