Vestan Pance Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 They're going to have to sell a huge number of those overpriced after match Curry and Singha packages to pay for this shambles.

More likely that they will just leave it to Shakey to face the questions at the next press conference! Disgraceful if no official statement is forthcoming. Having said bugger all so far, I'm expecting nothing more than a stone walling from the club and CS being hung out to dry.

It may even be fast tracked as a result of the latter.

Serious question if anyone can answer? Rudkin was appointed the Academy Manager at Leicester City in June 2003 having previously been a schoolboy in the City youth system himself when he was 16 and working as a youth coach since 1998.After working as a coach on a part-time basis Rudkin took up the full-time post of Head Coach at the then centre of excellence. During that period Leicester produced a number of outstanding talents which have progressed from the Academy to the first team – including Emile Heskey and Matt Piper. Rudkin holds the UEFA Pro licence and has completed the Academy Director's licence. On 29 August 2007, he jointly took over managerial responsibility of Leicester after Martin Allen left by mutual consent. Rudkin has since overseen the development of players through the Leicester City youth academy such as Andy King, Joe Mattock, Richard Stearman, Jeffrey Schlupp and Liam Moore. All five having gained international recognition in the form of either a full international cap or an Under-21 international cap. On 14 December 2014, Rudkin replaced the outgoing Terry Robinson as director of football. Jobs for the boys!!!!!

Absolute shambles but Leicester should have registered well before the deadline and Rudkin needs to step up, be a man and admit it was his fault! I have made it pretty clear a 100 times on here that I am not a fan of Rudkin, but we should all wait until the Club issue a statement before building the gallows.

PaulW Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Suspect that Porto, (or at least their Chairman) are not without some blame in the shambles.
Ted Maul Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 On the plus side- imagine what a boost it will be for Pearson, having Silva available so early in the January window.

The Quick Brown Fox Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Can we play him in the u23s as a Trialist?
Ric Flair Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 If you read Sky Sports report on this it goes in to detail that our club believes we met the deadlines and therefore I can't see us blaming any of our staff for this, so Rudkin and co will live to fight another day. We'll blame Sporting and FIFA and that'll be that.
yorkie1999 Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 we, as fans, can't do anything about it apart from sing some chant about fifa being a corrupt organisation etc, live on the biggest media outlet for football in the world.
daddylonglegs Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 This just in... PRESS RELEASE Transfer of Adrien Silva Leicester City hereby confirms it is assessing options. No other comment will be made at this time. END
The Guvnor Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Really highlights our incompetence and the total inflexibility of a Joke organisation.

They can't exactly come out with specifics and tell a horde of angry football fans "oh yeh little Sally Slow, one of our recruitment admins on about 30k a year, went to change her tampon at around 10.30pm on the night in question In normal circumstances she would wait until she got home to do this, but on this occasion she happened to be experiencing unusually heavy flow. As a result, she responded to an information request in an untimely manner, causing a delay which meant that there was insufficient time remaining to collate and submit our documentation ahead of the deadline" Never mind being out of a job, poor Sally would have to emigrate.

It's always a Russian roulette with the transfer window, and this time we were on the receiving end. Silva himself, his agent, SCP, Chelsea, the Portuguese FA, the English FA and possibly FIFA themselves all had a part to play in this too. I'll maintain that our biggest mistake here is letting Drinkwater go before Silva was secured. He ultimate responsibility was and is down to Leicester City though. We have nobody to blame but ourselves.
