FIFA reject Adrien Silva appeal

If I worked for the club, and the person responsible for this kept their job, i'd think I could pretty much get away with anything and i'd damn well use it as an example if they ever tried to sack me.

Creates a terrible precedent throughout the workplace.

The only excuse for the club not announcing this within the hour will be that they're offering an honest explanation and having to terminate someones employment.

Oh and also... Shakey has been clearly pissed off by this whole occurrence, I wouldn't blame him/be surprised if he considered walking.

So how come Costa can train with a team who has a transfer embargo, yet we can't let Silva train with us? If he takes the 2 months to adapt/get match fit like the rest of our new signings then he's basically a write off till next season.

I'd be amazed if we hear anything, nevermind an honest statement.

Sweep it under the carpet. Treat it like it never happened.

Then it's down to the media to use their power to put pressure on them, it's a joke this is. I hope The Mercury and BBC Leicester are brave enough to challenge our club. It's more evidence we need changes top to bottom.

The club is a shambles. Do we have anybody on the board with an ounce of football knowledge? There's so much trust in particular people.

This is why if we sacked Shakespeare I don't think they'd know who to go for as manager.

I’m trying to be angry about this but just find it farcical and funny.

Typical Leicester. It’s never boring is it!

Expected it, now it's time to sack whoever was responsible for the farce in the first place.

Disgraceful from our club, run by a load of incompetents trying to cling onto their jobs and looking out for number 1 rather than working as a team.

Only positive is there might now be an enquiry which should shine a light on some of the weeds that need removing from our club (Jon Rudkin can start).

Okay the appeals been rejected, however FIFA now need to follow this rule every single time it arises.

And we have to find a way to cope without a midfielder, hopefully Iborra can step up with ndidi

He can train with us if we've accepted he's our player but I believe we may have been contesting everything and didn't want to risk it. Now if we go back on acknowledging him as our player then we are odious bastards. Just pay his wages, integrate him in to ththe setup and training and we'll build a team around him for January.

16 games between now and January 13th (First premier league game I can see him being anywhere near fit for....)

Honeslty im not surpsied at all, if we was a bigger club like Barca Real Man Utd etc im sure this would have been overturned, and as state by Sambiasso how come Costa can train etc with all at Atlet Madrid but Silva cant here, seems like a looks of crap to me

should have just bribed them its FIFA and they havent change at all, just try to do all that dodging stuff in even darker places now

Take a deep breath everyone.   I am more annoyed about FIFA first and foremost. The most corrupt body in football and they dig their heels on this - one word abhorrent.

The Club must now issue a Statement. If it transpires that the Club are culpable, then whoever is in charge of Football Operations, should do the decent thing and resign. If they do not do this, then they must be fired.   The Club then needs to give Shakey every chance to get things back on track. For all his mistakes thus far, he and been royally shafted here.

We must also offer Adrien our fullest support. We must sure Silva is fit and ready to go on January 1, plus we must appeal against stopping him training with us, that is slavery.

Then we need a root and branch investigation and a complete clear out in Scouting and Recruitment. It is a fuching shambles.

The future of this Club has been placed in jeopardy due to this.  God be with us until January.

Awaiting statement........

No doubt the minion who sent he documents and not the incompetent big wigs we've got at the top of our organisation in Rudkin and Whelan.

Whoever is reposbsible at the club will have deflected responsibility at the FA or FIFA and away from themselves

no one will pay with their job over this at the highest level (which they should) - it will just be filed under 'one of those things'

completely crass and it's up to the journos to ask and keep asking the relevant questions to find out up whose arse the buck should be shoved

If he hasn't been able to train for months it's going to take him ages to get up to match fitness.

it occurs to me that even if we had signed Silva, he would be our only attack minded creative midfielder. We have a cupboard full of defensive midfielders like Iborra, King, James, N'didi, but nothing attack minded. Similarly too many strikers, too many central defenders, and only one right back. I appreciate the transfer market is not easy, but the lopsided nature of our squad is frighteningly obvious to those of us who spend too much of our time analysing the Club.

I just hope we can find a way to scrape 15 more points before the turn of the year, so we reach half way in the season probably in about 16th position. Then, I hope alongside Silva we can secure a talented young right back from the champ to understudy Simmo, and a back up creative midfielder for Silva. We need to be scouting for those positions now, talking to agents in November, agreeing bids with clubs in December, and announcing deals in early January (Wilf style).

At the same time, offload messrs Ulloa, Amartey and Musa. We will need to stop playing hard ball, so we if can get something close to £15 million for the three of them then that at least pays for our back up creative midfielder, allowing a budget of up to £5 - £10 million for an understudy right back
