Oh I agree I was thinking more re Silva that LCFC, we've got what we deserve. As for hanging on to Drinkwater in hindsight that doesn't look like it would have helped us.
ClaphamFox Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Before the season began I was actually feeling optimistic. If you offered me survival now, I'd bite your hand off.
Tuna Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Rudkin needs to man up and take responsibility...offer your resignation.
Footballwipe Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 The club deserve every ounce of flack for this. They can try and come out and palm the blame on electronic error or FIFA not being understanding but this is all on them. An utter shambles and totally indicative of where we are as a club off the pitch. The whole recruitment department should be ashamed of this farce. It's just totally unprofessional.

By the time that will be resolved, we'll be in January and Silva can be registered anyway. No point in pursuing it further. Try as well as we can to get him fit so that he's raring to go asap when 2018 hits us. 2 minutes ago, urban.spaceman said: Adrien Silva will now be banned from participating in twice the number of games Luis Suarez was for biting at the World Cup. FVCK FIFA For all FIFA's wrongs, this was avoidable by us. The club put itself in this position and now we're paying for it. 1 minute ago, davieG said: So begs the questions Where does that leave Silva - surely he's being restricted from working? Who is he under contract to and who if anybody is paying him? My guess is he's under contract with us and we're paying him. The fact he cannot be registered to play PL football should not affect his employment with us.
dannythefox Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Can't believe people thought after four weeks they'd change there mind, only the idiots running the club to blame. Andy King haters going to hate this ?

Yet again we spent the whole of August not being aggressive enough in the transfer window until the final few days and we get stung again. Two seasons on the spin.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 A complete disaster, 2 transfer windows we have tried to sign this guy and we've still messed it up, what a smambles we are recruitment wise, letting DD go, not replacing him and still having to play Andy King!
shiv Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 We should play him anyway. Still more likely to stay up with a points deduction and Silva in the team.
Ric Flair Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Surely now he can at least train with us. Isn't Costa training with Atletico?
AjcW Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Only saving grace for Silva and his international chances is that there's only one more International break before January and it's meaningless friendlies, so no one will really get a chance to break in ahead of him.
nickelbyfox Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Absolute shambles - all our transfer dealings take bloody ages, finally bites us in the ass. I mean it really is embarrassing - probably need to switch to 3 at the back now.
jonny_wright Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Absolute farce! Leicesters demise seems to be as fast as our rise!
Guest Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 5 minutes ago, Tuna said: Rudkin needs to man up and take responsibility...offer your resignation. I think you've stated that 3 times in this thread and started another thread about it. Do you actually have any real information on the situation to back-up this desire? Personally I find it perplexing that FIFA can effectively stop Silva from working and probably from representing his country. In these days of European labour laws and worker's rights I find that hard to believe. He's either our player or Sportings and if he's ours he must then be able to play for us, if he can't he should still be sporting's. He didn't agree to a contract knowing that he wouldn't be able to play for 6 months. For those talking about relegation and demise: sort yourselves out. Neither of these "possibilities" are related to signing Silva. If we hadn't tried to sign him what would the difference in situation be?
TMELcfc Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Il be amazed if the owners don’t take this out on someone... job failed miserably, shouldn’t have a job. On on the pitch, people slating Shakespeare... what hope has he got with the tools above him in suits.
Ric Flair Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 I want us to have the balls to issue a thorough and honest statement to the fans about this now. I'm under no illusions they'll not make anyone pay for this but at least hold their hands up and keep the fans involved. I'm disgusted with our club at the minute, absolute bins.
filbertway Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 If he able to play in development games as a trialist for us then if he's not registered to us? Surely someone out there will sort out an insurance deal for us.

Babylon Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 This was the FA's request that was requested, I'd imagine we can push it further... by which time it will be fecking December anyway and January until the lad is fit. Don't worry Andy King has got this
gerrytaggart Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 well that came as a surprise to absolutely no one!!!
Suzie the Fox Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 14 games to go without a midfield is going to be tough. Shakey now must see that we need to change something or its hello again Championship football. Super dissapointed about this, but maybe just maybe it might be the wake up call we need to get our arses into 2nd gear.
goose2010 Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 look its a nightmare situation and its not been delt with very well by anyone at the club. But its one player! we dont even know where he would fit in / be any good. We just have to get one with it, stop bitching and hope the players can turn their performances round.
jonny_wright Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 You know its bad when your praying Matty James comes back from injury asap! Really starting to fear for our season now!
