EnderbyFox Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Silva must be absolutely fuming with us if this is down to human error or us pissing about. World cup year and he's missing half the season.
daddylonglegs Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 hahahahahahha honestly this club is genuinely brilliant. There is no other club in the world that can achieve what we have achieved in the last two years and still manage to be a laughing stock. Surely someone's getting sacked!!
EastAnglianFox Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Is that it then, final decision? or do we have any other route of appeal to also lose?
Grebfromgrebland Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Relegation battle it is then until January...

notnow john Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Are there other options? Restraint of trade, court of arbitration for sport. Clutching!!
martyn Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 This is an absolutely monumental cock up and whoever is ultimately responsible needs to go.
urban.spaceman Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Adrien Silva will now be banned from participating in twice the number of games Luis Suarez was for biting at the World Cup. FVCK FIFA
davieG Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 So begs the questions Where does that leave Silva - surely he's being restricted from working? Who is he under contract to and who if anybody is paying him?

World cup year and he's missing half the season. It's not solely down to LCFC though. It's always a Russian roulette with the transfer window, and this time we were on the receiving end. Silva himself, his agent, SCP, Chelsea, the Portuguese FA, the English FA and possibly FIFA themselves all had a part to play in this too. I'll maintain that our biggest mistake here is letting Drinkwater go before Silva was secured.
Izzy Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Feel really sorry for the player mainly. Poor bloke is in limbo during World Cup year through no fault of his own.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 T-90 days then great Surely some more info has to come out now about how the **** this was actually allowed to happen

It only takes a 5 game run to drag a team out of any sort of mess- we know that better than anyone. Besides, there's some absolute dross in this division and I'd be surprised if we're bottom 3 by the turn of the year. That said, the Silva situation is an absolute shambles. Bizarre really, we're a basket case club. 'Stability' and 'without incident' just aren't terms which appear in our vocabulary
Tuna Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Questions: 1) Why bring Adrien Silva over from the Portugal training camp on deadline day. Sky Sports News were consistently reporting we'd "Only sign him if Drinkwater went to Chelsea". Why bring Silva over if it hung on the Drinkwater transfer. We clearly intended to complete the Silva deal otherwise we were wasting his time.
kingfox Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 For the first time in my life I actually hate my football club right now, whoever is accountable for this shambles can GTFO.
