Rudkin probably needed a shit in that time! the useless bastard.

I wish I could take a shit in 14 seconds.  I'd have achieved far more in life.

In fact, I'd almost certainly be LCFC Director of Football by now, I reckon

The situation is now crystal clear

Im not impressed with him but Shakey can be justifiably peed off

Its so unfair on Silva it is a big blow to any aspirations City may have had for this year

Trying to play Chelsea for more money amateurish and shambolic

Very good Rudkin your disastrous tenure continues

The club and most certainly the fans need to see that this disaster is taken seriously and a thorough restructuring takes place asap

All the good structure that Pearson put in place is now a shambles

King Power please act now comprehensively

Have ISIS claimed responsibility yet?

YES, apparently someone at the club converted to Islam a few seconds before midnight, and wantonly delayed the pressing of the send button in outlook.  PRAYFORLCFC#

To be fair to amartey, I think he was improving as a cm last season then he went to the cup of nations. Then ndidi came in and he rightly lost his place but a bit of a shame too as he had improved. In a 3 I'm sure he would be fine.

Amartey is just terrible at tracking. If you had Iborra sitting and N'didi and Amartey doing all the Donkey work I think it'd be ok. Amartey is better with the ball than people give him credit for

However, it later emerged that the FA’s formal application for an international transfer certificate, the document required to switch the player’s registration from the Portuguese FA to its English counterpart, arrived 14 seconds late on Fifa’s electronic system.

This quote from The Times report suggests that the delay could have been from the FA rather than the club.

If that's right, don't City have a legal claim against the FA?

Is it not down to us to make sure we give all parties enough time to complete it?

I have suspected for some time that the fa may be culpable and yes, if so they would be liable to lcfc... for all legal costs ... the players wages and the cost of a replacement

Good job I only stayed up till 2am the next day for this to be confirmed.

I haven't read the 9 pages but I guess people are no longer defending Rudkin?

I read that there was a delay in us receiving the paperwork to fill out - presumably from the FA... We filled it out in minutes then returned it but it arrived 14 seconds late...

FFS! This is pathetic. Genuinely, they should get a grip of this, and be seen to be trying to do so.

Appeal through CSA.

Recall Mendy for cover (if possible? He won't be happy, but needs must!).

Get him, Iborra and Ndidi firing on all cylinders.

If all fails, just swallow the pain, and register Silva for January. Make a big thing of it, and have him train with our medical team, away from the first team. Pay the wages, pay Sporting.

We need to look on it like fate, or as if he was injured. Costa can't play for Atletico, and Drinky won't play much for Chelsea, Ibra at Man U etc. We need to have a plan to cover the situation.

We seem even so unprepared and we're not communicating things correctly.

Can't Sporting take him back, cancel his contract, and we sign him up as a free agent? We can then give Sporting a £25m finders fee. Job done.

If Rudkin has any credibility whatsoever he would tender his resignation before the day is out.

Financially the club is paying for an asset it cannot use.

Reputationally we are a laughing stock.

Sportingly we are running a massive risk with such a threadbare midfield.

Utter shambles.

Ok well let’s hope Iborra starts from now on in order to find his feet properly.

I’m confident the person responsible for this situation will also go unpunished, as with most big organisations it’s easier to mask individual mistakes, behind the sheer number of employees involved in any given situation.

Shambolic performance on every level.

The club is well and truly up against it now to recruit anyone of worth in January or for a managerial role if Shakey is let go.

Costa is training with Atletico despite being unable to register before January.

So why can't Silva train with us?

He can train with us, we have deliberately kept him from training with us so that we can contest we own him.
