FIFA reject Adrien Silva appeal

Silva can't go back to Sporting and play before January as he's not listed in their playin squads domestically or in Europe. Mendy couldn't be recalled and even if he could he's not been declared in our PL squad so couldn't play until January.

Silva is however listed in our PL squad but as FIFA won't sanction the registration he can't play until January anyway.

We can't recall Barnes either and have him eligible as I'm pretty sure it's the same problem we had at the end of his loan spell at MK Dons, they have to be registered even though he's under 21 and homegrown, odd ruling here hat might be different in this circumstance but I doubt we've a recall clause.

We're fcuked.

Surely this is a violation of Adriens human rights. He is being prevented from working.

Surely a higher court can step in here?

But he's being paid, no chance of that happening

Thought we were better second half with Iborra on and Gray / Mahrez / Iheanacho. Players with the ball comfortable at their feet.

All is not long so long as the manager makes changes and recognises mistakes.

Yes but it won't happen until after January so it's kind of pointless. We have simply got to protect the player here and not our financial obligations. If we try and get out of his transfer I will not step foot inside our ground whilst tris current regime are in place, football is dead to me if that's where it's going.

He can work at the training ground.

I meant fcuked in terms of resolving his before January.

If we still cannot put together a system that can't get this team mid table then we should be ashamed of ourselves with or without Silva, our biggest problem is our inability to seek change as a club.

Theres enough goals in this squad, there's not enough creativity but put out a team with enough defence and midfield protection and we'll still score enough goals in certain games to get enough wins to see us through until January. I won't accept anything else and if it doesn't happen then Shakespeare isn't good enough and get him gone.

He is being paid though so I don't think it's quite the same. He can also train etc.

The club should make a detailed statement explaining precisely what happened, who is responsible and what steps the club has taken.

Nothing along those lines will happen. A short, anodyne statement may follow and we,as fans, will be left in the dark.

Unless the transfer was conditional on international clearance we should accept AS is our player, get him training with the squad and as fit and ready to play from 1st Janor as soon as possible after that date.

This is so confusing. Who's player is he? Who is paying him? I can't recall this situation occurring before. If I was him I would go to the much derided court of Human rights and get a legal ruling.

You know who I've never understood, people who are fans being able to be journalists covering their club.

There's no way on earth i'd be able to sit in the next press conference as a journo and not say 'why hasn't rudkin been sacked' 'why have you not released a statement' etc etc...

It's something i've always wondered, especially with England, you never see any journos actually criticise in the way they do on twitter or in their columns.

I know that journo would then get banned but I just don't understand how you can be composed enough not to speak up if you're a fan and your club has massively messed up lol

@UpTheLeagueFox have you ever been tempted to say something? Or actually pose a challenging question? Rather than the usual 'so looking forward to the next game craig' 'what the injury news craig' (this isn't a personal criticism by the way i'm just genuinely intrigued!)

I feel for Shakey, purely because of the lack of creativity in central midfield until January it now seems he could lose his job. A total mess, all because of the fact we wanted to get a couple extra million of Chelsea for Drinkwater.
