The Doctor Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 That third was a beautiful piece of work - just the coolness from Chilwell onwards. Mahrez made it himself with the drive, but the movement of the ball out of defence to him was sublime. Play like that consistently and Appleton can have the job and intimidate all the fourth officials he likes.
Stevosevic Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Good goals and could have had more. We've got depth upfront.

It is very good to watch again, we they weren’t doing this until these last two games I don’t know Imagine a midfield 3 of Iborra, Ndidi, and Silva

walkerleeds Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Great win again in the cup for captain fantastic.

Babylon Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Good result and some decent stuff played after we got the obligatory shit start and opportunity goal out the way. Amartey very good, the other three defenders also played very well. Dragovic goes about things very quietly and doesn't give people a sniff. Iborra classy as fook again, even King looked composed second half. Albrighton and Nacho were patchy but things did come from them, so hard to moan too much. All in all a decent run out. People should start getting rewarded with first team opportunities.
Jonezy Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Job well done. Loved Amartey and Slim tonight. Hated our 1st half crossing and off the ball non-movement. 2 wins in a row really does feel nice!
Scotch Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Iborra in CM and Dragovic partnering Maguire made a huge difference tonight. None of the three panic and look to play the ball short which makes a massive difference. Amartey was really good tonight too. Done the Simpson role with ease.
daddylonglegs Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Only watched the last twenty minutes but thought it was pretty good... played the ball on the ground. I like Iborra because he gets the ball to Mahrez ASAP
TheUltimateWinner Posted 24 October 2017 Author Posted 24 October 2017 Past two games we've played some nice attacking football and look confident on the ball If its down to Appleton I must praise him, we look a better side. Not getting carried away as its only leeds and swansea, but pleasing nonetheless.
KingKoala Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Slim and Nacho might have gained much needed confidence and match fitness for league game. I'm looking forward to the Everton game now, although it's difficult to choose who we are going to start up front.
Guest Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 What an enjoyable game. Ball going forward. Chilwell and Gray play so well together that it's time for Fuchs and Albrighton to be replaced. Ian looks on the edge of great things, he passes well and has class, just needs the run but can he work with Vards? Slim keeps on scoring and still fans will question him. Great player who hasn't had a chance due to that nagging injury last season. Iborra played some nice balls but still a work in progress. Amartey and Drag were fine. All round a very satisfying performance and probably not much worse opposition than Swansea.

DatfoxesKid23 Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 we were composed and in the second half we didn't break a sweat
desertfox2 Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Iborra was class today. Amartey probably his best game for us. Nacho a goal and an assist. Really hope Mahrez stays in Jan as that was sublime. Good win that. Hopefully get a decent draw for the quarters.

HoustonFox Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 2 wins in 2 and starting to play some football...
StriderHiryu Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Good result, great performance! Some thoughts on newer players, and those that don't start much for us: - Ihenacho. Delighted he got off the mark for us. Still appears to be trying too hard, but there were glimpses of what he could bring to the team. Good assist for the 2nd. - Slimani. Solid all round performance. Poor headed miss, but continued to work hard. Is he the competition's top scorer now? - Amartey. Wow! Incredible performance from him at right back. That moment where he made a challenge and then ran 50 yards with it before getting fouled was amazing. Literally faultless and a contender for man of the man of the match. - Iborra. After a dodgy start to his career, he is looking like the real deal! So confident and composed on the ball. He could end up being our best signing this season if he continues to play this way. For the second game in a row, he bossed the middle of the park. I can't wait to see him and Silva (and maybe Ndidi) together. It could be glorious! - Dragovic. Solid, I don't really recall him making an error. Him and Maguire really could be the future of the club. - Hamer. A bit dodgy, think now we are in the last 8 that Kasper should come in. - Gray. Industrious and unlucky not to get on the scoresheet or get an assist. - Chilwell. Overall a good performance. - King. Was OK but didn't set the world on fire.
roblcfc84 Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Think it shows that there are options in the squad. Iborra looks great and I thought Amartey was superb.

I thought we started the season in a similar fashion trying to pass the ball, but as we went on it got less and less. Losing CS perhaps meant a weight was lifted as they didn't feel the pressure of keeping someone in a job. Or MA is a genius.
