Should have bagged another one or two goals. For the first time in a long while I was really excited to see what we would produce with the ball at our feet.

I really like the young, fresh, quick, energetic version of us. Some good performances tonight and we march on.

Sometimes losing the manger releases the pressure off the players. I thought we started the season in a similar fashion trying to pass the ball, but as we went on it got less and less. Losing CS perhaps meant a weight was lifted as they didn't feel the pressure of keeping someone in a job.

Or MA is a genius.

I see what you did there with the MA joke...

Iborra was class today. Amartey probably his best game for us. Nacho a goal and an assist. Really hope Mahrez stays in Jan as that was sublime. Good win that. Hopefully get a decent draw for the quarters.

Iborra looks a class act.

Useful exercise,Amartey had a cracking game and shows we can count on him if necessary. Nacho got his first goal, slimani's hold up play was the best I've seen from him, Mahrez has his magic back  and we're through to the next round.

Anyone but Bournemouth please.

Hey Appleton actually did something we all wanted for a while , he played FULL FORCE leicester team

We had Vardy , Nacho , Slim , Mahrez & Gray on the pitch at the same time and we all saw how we were playing

Hate to burst your bubble, but you're wrong.

The subs were great, and so pleasing to watch us carry on pushing on instead of retreating to the inner concourse when we were ahead. Was great to watch us again...as was Saturday.

Good result, great performance!

Some thoughts on newer players, and those that don't start much for us:

- Ihenacho. Delighted he got off the mark for us. Still appears to be trying too hard, but there were glimpses of what he could bring to the team. Good assist for the 2nd.

- Slimani. Solid all round performance. Poor headed miss, but continued to work hard. Is he the competition's top scorer now?

- Amartey. Wow! Incredible performance from him at right back. That moment where he made a challenge and then ran 50 yards with it before getting fouled was amazing. Literally faultless and a contender for man of the man of the match.

- Iborra. After a dodgy start to his career, he is looking like the real deal! So confident and composed on the ball. He could end up being our best signing this season if he continues to play this way. For the second game in a row, he bossed the middle of the park. I can't wait to see him and Silva (and maybe Ndidi) together. It could be glorious!

- Dragovic. Solid, I don't really recall him making an error. Him and Maguire really could be the future of the club.

- Hamer. A bit dodgy, think now we are in the last 8 that Kasper should come in.

- Gray. Industrious and unlucky not to get on the scoresheet or get an assist.

- Chilwell. Overall a good performance.

- King. Was OK but didn't set the world on fire.

Chilwell and Gray play so well together that it's time for Fuchs and Albrighton to be replaced.

I'm starting to think this too.

I love what Fuchs and Albrighton have done for us, but Chilwell and Gray complement each other so well and are both full of positive intent and energy.

Thought we were ace tonight. Credit to Appleton for his selection and tactics- excellent.

That said, those saying he should get the job have very short memories!

I suppose your gonna say I'm wrong if I day Andy King was the worst city player on the pitch and he got skinned for the first goal and was generally very average if not poor.

I think your Andy King bubble is burst

He’s doing himself no harm at all if the new incoming manager doesnt want to keep him.

I have to agree Chilly and Gray need to start very soon

Bit of perspective, Leeds played their second team tonight. I think 10 changes.....

Needless to say good result and to quip.......we go Marching on together....

Can’t moan about that display. Took a while to get going but when we did we passed with purpose and used our pace to hurt Leeds.

Amartey and Iborra were very good tonight. Everyone played well to be fair. Credit to Slim for scoring so soon after that shocking miss.

On to the next
