I suppose your gonna say I'm wrong if I day Andy King was the worst city player on the pitch and he got skinned for the first goal and was generally very average if not poor.

I think your Andy King bubble is burst

Seriously, what does it matter? It's not about me, or you. I didn't even say I loved him as a player - I just reject needless hatred.

Amartey and Iborra were amazing. Gray and Chilwell are always improving (and probably deserve the start this weekend, and thought his defensive work was good tonight. Nacho is a work in progress, Slimani was solid (and if Okazaki wasn't scoring every game, I'd be tempted to pair him and Vardy), Maguire and the Dragon are the future (if we get a permanent deal with him), and King and Albrighton were both substandard.

First half was a bit of sh^tshow at times, but they aren't playing together every week (although to be fair, neither were Leeds second team).

Thought we were ace tonight. Credit to Appleton for his selection and tactics- excellent.

That said, those saying he should get the job have very short memories!

Definitely agree about the first sentence but...

...I think we should be in absolutely no rush about getting a new manager in. Appleton has instilled a lot of discipline and desire in a very short space of time. The whole team is making great passing moves, hoofing is down, we are looking a real threat. With Everton coming up there's a great opportunity for Appleton to show he's worth more time. Far too early to say he'd be worth a permanent contract but surely the owners would rather keep a good thing going than chucking everything at Puel, Giggs or Pardew just because they're available?

You could argue that Appleton has some experience in the Captain's seat, but it's far too early to draw any kind of conclusion. Positive result against an Everton who'll likely be out to make an impression and it suggests at least we could keep him in position until a decent managerial candidate pops up that's worth it, no point rushing it if Appleton can keep the ship steady.

Noticed how players were looking for Iborra at all times, confidently knowing he can keep the ball and pass forward. Add in Silva after Christmas..tasty.

Gilfi who?

I don't hate him, I just love my club more then any player, and have no room for sentiment, or below average players in my team.  And if someone is below par, as a fan I'm disappointed and Infact disgusted, cus we can do better.

So why are you using it to bait me, when I overlooked your attitude and sent you a link for the match?

Loved the second goal very tidy footy involving some serious quick football.

Could probably take just king and hamer out no offence to both and still a prem team.

On a good run

King and Iborra worked well together and I think that's because we had 4 defenders comfortable on the ball. Meant they can take their time and wait for that 5 yard forward pass that has us facing the goal in the opposition half.

Yet again this highlights how poor the Championship is in terms of quality.

We moan about some Premiership games, but the Championship is on another level of low.

Still, great performance in the second half and Amartey looked very composed on the ball.  I'm more stunned about that than the result tbh.  lol

Wolves drawing at man city, Norwich taking Arsenal to et and Bristol city beating Palace? lol

I think it shows that we have some good players who can turn it on when it matters

Leeds support sounded great btw.

Best away supporters in the country imho

Hope they get back in the PL soon

For some reason my mind couldn't help but wonder back to the Milwall game away where we played arguably the worst football all season. We are stronger this year - both mentally and in ability. Reasons for hope that the golden era isn't quite over just yet - a cup win would be magical.

Slim has been great ever since Pre Season.

Has looked more confident, his link play has been much better, he's actually winning headers and he's been scoring goals.

Starting to slowly look like the player we were hoping to see.

Poor first half apart from the last 5/10 mins. Started slow in the 2nd but then shifted up a good few gears and played some nice stuff.

Our quality shined through in the end and we made Leeds look like a sh1tty championship side. I thought Harry and Drago linked up very well, surely the future back two. Both very comfortable on the ball.

I'd say either Amartey or Iborra for motm. King his usual phantom self. Grey his usual frustrating self, a lack of intelligence when he needs it mixed with an eye for glory a little too much I think. Shame as he always looks threatening. Albrighton I thought was poor. Mahrez coming on gave us that edge in the final third. Pleased for Iheanacho. Onwards and upwards!
