The other thing for me is the clubs who are interested in these internationals in room 101’ Benaloune wanted by Milan, Inler is a fantastic call, great player, no game time, Slim the same, from memory( might be wrong) Cambiasso couldn’t get a start early on...players we don’t play are wanted by “bigger” clubs than us....Jakupovic will probably sign for a top side....Iborra and Silva not getting game time, King (I love him) and James were/are....we have paid over £30m for them ffs play ‘em...

He doesn't need more time, he needs to be in the team and now.

Why is it that other clubs can buy continental players and put them straight in the side?  We seem to need to hold their hand for twelve months.  Ridiculous.

As for being out for 4 months, remember, James had been out for nearly as long.

Whilst I don't necessarily disagree that he should be in the team I do think we always think every other club does things better than ours because we are more focused on our own club than on theirs.  I bet loads of players have taken a while to settle from other clubs but we just don't pay attention.  The grass is not always greener.  Having said that, I would like to see him play.  X

Kelechi Iheanacho  - jury still out

Adrien Silva  - jury still out

Vicente Iborra  - jury still out

Harry Maguire - Very successful

Aleksandar Dragovic - jury still out

Eldin Jakupovic - failed

Fousseni Diabaté  - jury still out

Islam Slimani - failed

Ahmed Musa - failed

Wilfred Ndidi - Very successful

Nampalys Mendy - failed

Bartosz Kapustka - failed

Ron-Robert Zieler - failed

Luis Hernández - failed

Shinji Okazaki - Very successful

N'Golo Kanté - Very successful

Gökhan Inler - failed

Yohan Benalouane - failed

Daniel Amartey - jury still out

Demarai Gray - jury still out

Robert Huth - Very successful

How many of the ‘failed’ category actually cost reall money and we will result in a large loss £5’ plus when we sell them?  Musa, Slimani maybe Mendy?  Inler was also kept out of the team by the brilliance of Kante and Drinkwater.   Zieler, Hernandez, Jaku and Benny were squad players and have been just that or were sold for what we bought them.  Net cost of Kapustka likely to be very little.

We will make a profit of Diabete, Gray and Armarty.

The season after the title was bad but apart from that we were okay, not every signing will be a hero

Exactly, doesn't seem to do Ozil or Mata any harm either.   And Muzzy was about 6 stone with pipe cleaners for legs.

Not that I'm buying this BS idea that Silva can't cope physically.

How often do Ozil, Mata, Silva and Muzzy play in a 442?

We are asking two midfieders to play against 3 most weeks. The issue is with someone so slight against big brutes and outnumbered is that it makes it harder to compete and win the midfield battle. Put him in a three where two people can cover, like the players mentioned and his physicality isn't a massive issue.

James was on loan at Barnsley, he didn't just walk back into our team.

Possible but is also showed himself training earlier in the day then saying work never stops and then shows the one of the two training later.

That’s more my thinking

If Silva hadn't integrated with the rest of the squad that would really really surprise me from the glimpses that we have had. I think Puel just has very clear separate premiership teams and FA cup teams in his head, nothing more dramatic than that. It's frustrating I know.

Peter Taylor played 442.

But anyway, I just don't accept he is too lightweight for the premier league.  He outweighs a certain French Malian I could name and I believe he is known to be quite a tenacious player and strong in the tackle (no puns please).

If only that was true!!

Puel, just does'nt rate him, he was never signed by Puel and he feels that he has sufficient cover for the midfield and how he wants to play.

Not so much an outcast with the rest of the squad as he looks to be fine with them , more the thinking with Puel . And obviously him feeling he has to do extra training after a days training doesn’t seem right . Sure I could be reading to much into it but it just seems a little odd .

Does seem a little bit strange working out after a full session. We seem unable to put two halves together. We either put in a performance in the first half and don't come out for the second, seems to suggest a fitness issue. I would think Silva and Benny would know their own bodies and the fitness level they should be. It is amazing how often you find after a manager has left that the squad reveals that the fitness level was poor as they did not do enough training.

My god, I can’t believe how poor our recruitment has been when you look at that list!!

really u need to break that list into proper stats, all the failed never really got a shot at playing other than a game here or there. then the jury out lot have also never had a real run of games and the couple who have, have done so so but then been replaced when players return. take armarty played really well and should never have lost his spot to simpson. now the real problem for the club will BE THAT PLAYERS IN THE FUTURE WILL SEE WHAT HAS HAPPEN TO PLAYERS WHO COME HERE AND SIT ON THE BENCH and no ,one will want to play for us, unless we pay massive overs.

I know there will be the "oh yeh its shit to sit on the bench and earn $50,000"... but to be an out of favour footballer would be pretty crap.

Imagine you are among the best 20 players in your country country, at the peak of your career and you are not able to play a competetive match every week! It would drive me nuts.

Id rather get a pay cut and play regualarly

There must be something massively wrong with the recruitment of new players, the idea is that someone has looked at them in detail to determine whether they are what we need and if they will fit into our way of playing or we are willing to adapt to their way if they are that good. We've bought all these supposedly quality players in and hardly any of them make it in to the side!

Neil mother ****er Rudkin for ya.
