Have we ever signed a worse defender...

Steve Howey, Dabizas, Keown. I'm sure there were worse but we did sign some players already way past their expiry date in that time.

I really did rate Ben Thatcher though

I dont, understand, for the life of me, why this topic is supposed to show...

why chase a negative past...

Because it makes for a positive future.

Alan maybury and paul konchesky both I thought were dreadfull.

Alan Maybury was absolutely dreadful, but Paul Konchesky was decent for us

the first few years he was with us.

Admittedly in his last year or so he declined quite a bit, but surely no where near our worse.

Not quite as bad as McGivern and a few others and responsible for a couple of positive memories (cracking long range goal and also played in the Derby play off win) but Gary Coatsworth's tackles were so late his yellow card would arrive in the following weeks match! Gave his all but had the technical ability of a pub player (after a dozen pints). A scruffy ugly hard bastard but he was our scruffy ugly hard bastard!

Not the Goat!! holds the record for the highest cross ever in a City shirt to set up Walshy at Wembley, people of a certain age will remember David Webb needlessly handled which was what he was called on the radio

Thought the lad from Chelsea we got after Cunningham got injured was better my self. Him and Naughton as wing backs were quality

Van Aanholt. Naughton, mee and him all playing at prem level atm.

Remember Junior Lewis moving to defence on the opening game of the season vs Bolton... think they thrashed us 5-0 or something ...always remember as a young lad some older guy turning to me and saying "aint ya staying for the comeback?" when i left with 5 minutes left

Gregor Stevens. One of Jock Wallace's Scottish imports.

I think he got sent off in his first game and got moved on pretty quickly after just a few games.

only saw him play once - he was a walking disaster

Anyone remember Norman Leet?

Only for that amazing 30 yard OG Vs Norwich at Filbert Street......and the fact he played for Vikings Tun Pub Wigston in Leicester Sunday Morning league not long after!  :)

The biggest shock in that story is that he's only 27 years old???!!!!

Had his age been a pub quiz question, I would've guessed 33-35 by now. "Yeah, I remember him. Sh*t, he was".

Paul Fitzpatrick ...... freckly skin , not in control of his ridiculously long limbs, ginger hair and Scottish.

If that was not bad enough he was also an awful footballer.

He scored the winner in this though. I'll always be grateful :D

I'll admit konchesky wasnt that bad in the champship but in Prem he was awful - another one of pearsons favourites.

Joe Hamill, Mark "deep freeze", Elvis Hammond.....infact anybody in a City shirt 04-08!!
