I'm coming to the conclusion that some of his 'poorer passes' are actually very good passes that haven't been picked up by his team-mates. Ie. Mentally, he's a second in front of the others. Of course, there will be some he just gives away...but more often than not, I think his reading of the game is too quick for the others.

Great shout Col.

He still thinks he’s playing for Seville sometimes I reckon :D

He's one thought ahead of this team mates. He doesn't play where his mate is but where he should be. I remember one of his passes  to Okazaki in the first half which went directly to a throw in  (or a goal kick) after seeing the replay, the pass was great, Shinji's run not so much.

Same with grey. Great touch but grey was half asleep

Does appear that Claude is encouraging playing from the back and using Iborra to move things forward, it was noticeable in the first 25 minutes he seemed to be getting frustrated , encouraging players to get up the pitch didn't appear to have any outball on numerous occasions and ended up having to pass sideways or back. It will take time for the team to adjust, but you can certainly see he will be a pivotal player this season

Oozes class, I cannot wait for Silva to be eligible and we can go in to tough away games and take bodies. We are very close to a great squad, it might be too late this season but there's no reason why we can't be the 6-7th best team in this league.

I was tempted to start a thread like this but bottled it due to potential vitriol. (Note to self, man up.)

Since Iborra has arrived he has looked class. I couldn’t understand the doubters, as even from his early games, his ability to want the ball, simply pass it, find space, draw the opposition and encourage others to play off him was evident.

Whereas  I am going tread carefully and not eulogise too much he adds a heartbeat to this City team by which I mean he dictates tempo, is consistent and quietly helps those around him function, plus as a unit he is a handful.

I am delighted his steady hand (aside from the reckless challenges in his first game) have slowly shone through.

The guy oozes class and I for one think he has been the premier league signing of the summer.

Long live King Vincent.

Very much like Esteban - agreed. I think it’s brilliant that you can read it.

Now.

I love the notion of ‘taking bodies’ ?
