Class act. Does everything so calmly and effectively.

Funny how he's probably about 783rd in the pecking order for Spain's midfield, and he ran the midfield against England's Eric Dier.

Dier is one of the most overrated players I've ever seen.

I did say my concerns were unfounded. I watched a few Seville games back so that I could see how he played and he was definitely plodding about not doing a huge amount and it worried me. Perhaps the extra cover he had meant he could get away with it there, but he certainly seems to have rolled his socks up here.

He certainly seams to be going from strength to strength

My worries about his mobilty were unfounded, helps having an absolute machine like N'didi next to him though I'd imagine. A class act...

Same here. I said after the Stoke game I was worried that his lack of mobility would be exposed against quick sides like Man City a d Spurs. He's handled himself very well against both. Class player.

Really starting to show his class now. Fantastic signing and growing with every game.

Where will Silva fit in?!?!?

To be fair people used to say the same about GTF.... glad we have Iborra though!!

I want his babies tbh.

Even Cambiasso wasn't as cool on the ball as Iborra, I assume his size gives him the confidence to know he can just swat a lot of other midfielders off.

Has unbelievable amounts of composure on the ball without ever really seeming complacent.

Gives me more confidence than any midfielder we've had that I can remember. Knows when to go sideways and when to go forwards.

Best bit though is that he's always in the right place. Reads the game well and compensates for being a donkey by using his brain. Just class.

I was really concerned that he'd be too slow and one dimensional but credit where it's due, he's been one of our smartest signings so far.

I agree he’s a class act but I have to say that Kante made me feel far more confident. It seemed we couldn’t lose when he was playing. The opposition could be breaking 5 on 3 and he’d still win possession. Very assured on the ball and always used possession very effectively.

A big slice for me fellas

I was one of his biggest doubters

Kudos to him, he proved me wrong and adapted very well to a position he never played before  at Sevillia.

The addition of Silva in January will allow him to get slotted in his favorite role, as an hybrid sentinel in front of the defense and a deep-lying box to box midfielder.

We haven't seen the best of him yet :wasyl:

I agree about Dier. In the absence of Kane, making Dier the England skipper tells you all you need to know about the England international side.

I also agree about Iborra and Ndidi. I think this was one of Cambiasso's 'limitations...the fact that he was playing alongside Matt James who himself isn't particularly mobile. Ndidi is a great foil for letting Iborra just do what he does best. I love watching him and as I said before, to get Silva in too makes me dribble a little..

There was a moment in the first half when he did a little feint and took the ball past Dembele (I think).

Looks so simple but takes immense awareness to pull off.

He's a gem.

I've never felt so comfortable watching a Leicester City midfielder.

Cambiasso had class but he hit far too many wayward long balls, Kante was immense especially with his forward passing but Iborra for me just oozes class, I've never seen a Leicester City midfielder so calm on the ball especially in tight areas.

I'm confused

Are you now saying that you DON'T want a central midfield built around Big Dan Amartey?

I checked his Wikipedia page and was surprised to see he's only 29! I'd assumed he must have been about 32 and on the decline having left Sevilla.

it's the perfect age IMO. lots of experience, pace not yet lost, we can give them contracts until the end of their useful career (31-32 or so) and we don't have to worry as much about other teams poaching them. :)

He'd have to woo me first

(Usually a bag of chips and a can of fanta will do the trick)

I'm not cheap!

The only negatives are that his passing is a bit loose and he’s not that mobile but besides that he’s almost faultless. So composed and his decision making spot on.

That dummy turn last night was more than enough for me.

Even after winning the league it’s crazy that we have signed him. My mate was working with a Sevilla season ticket holder who said he was nothing special as well lol shows how shite technically this league can be sometimes.
