I love the fact Iborra always wants the ball in whatever situation. I can't remember a midfielder we've had who demands the ball so much, even Drinky went missing in tight spaces.

His leadership is a key thing for me, he's always organising and pulling players into position as well.

A top signing - can't wait to see him and Silva together.

Where's the picture from? I don't see it on his Twitter. Is it real or phtoshopped?

It's real, it's from a photo shoot for a magazine

HE was still bloody brilliant at LM if you ask me lol

Oh we was without a doubt. His pace and tackling allowing him to nick balls off defenders lol

Possibly so. Cambiasso was... magic... lol but we had become accustomed to players of Gareth Williams and Stephen Clemence’s ilk before him, so that step up in class with Esteban was so much more evident.

Either way, they’ve both been immense for us

He's only started once, against Fleetwood the other night, since Liverpool away. Anybody know if he has any injury problem because surely he would at least be getting in the squad.

What's the word on Iborra not even being on the bench?  I know we have huge competition in CM, but I expected him to play ahead of James (who did a decent job).  His height and strength might have been important.

Walking to the ground I overheard some City fans suggesting that he is homesick.  Any truth in this?

He warmed up with the team before Watford, has been in training pics, and played in the recent cup game. I don't think he's injured.

I think it's just that there are too many players ahead of him now. The James/Ndidi pair did too well against Chelsea for either to deserve being dropped, Silva absolutely has to be on the bench because of his circumstances (already spent 4 months in the stands + World Cup place in jeopardy). We simply don't need 2 CMs on the bench.

Iborra as 4th choice, what an improvement from our King/Amartey midfield of last year :)

Ultimately, I think he will be 3rd Choice CM. Strange that he wasn't in the squad yesterday.

What a turnaround it is though- a player of Iborra's ability not getting into the squad. We were having to play King and Amartey at the start of last season!

Hello, a shameless bandwagoner here and sorry if Iborra form time to time...I believe that the Palace game cost Vicente his place, he was abysmal and his nonchalance and loss of possession made CP look like Real on a good day. After Ndidi got sent off, Puel had seen enough and subbed by King to patrol the midfield on his own. I think that he is good but slow for the english game.
