stox259 Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Could someone please tell me when Vichai and Top first encountered Leicester City. In my mind Vichai went to Wembley and saw us draw against Middlesborough and from that day on Leicester were his team. If this is the case would that Heskey equalizer be the most important goal in our history? The butterfly effect from that one incident is pretty massive. If someone could confirm or correct the info above i'd appreciate it.
norwichfox Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 More likely that we were available to buy....bloody pleased they did
TiffToff88 Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Nah. It was when he first saw Robbie Savage in a city shirt. He figured that if the national bird of Thailand - The ladyboy - can play for Leicester, then we must be the team for him!
SpacedX Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 A cautionary tale - Where did David Pleat's love affair with Leicester end up?
Voll Blau Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Apparently respect is a big thing in Thailand so it was probably then.
SemperEadem Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Didn't they come out with in the early days that they were both at the League Cup Replay in Hillsborough. Believe that and you will believe anything.

Sounds like a load of nonsense to me unless they've got photo evidence I won't believe that. Surely it's more like they wanted a football club and we were available?
Countryfox Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 They wanted to buy a team that could potentially do well and get in the prem and had a reasonable fan base ... we were available at a good price. So they bought us ... And thank god they did !! ..
Ric Flair Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 18 minutes ago, StanSP said: this is correct. Was it not Top? Although that would make Top about 10 when we won the cup.

SheppyFox Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 If it is indeed because of the Middlesbrough game I’m very pleased, that’s an emotional attachment coupled into business. Very good.
gerrytaggart Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 This is total bollix. I remember seeing Vichai and top down at filbo. Vichai was the one who usually started the "oooh tommy wright" chant and Top was just a total menace in pen 3.
AyewJoking Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 when mandaric put the club on gumtree for £20

Aus Fox Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Top was the guy who used to bleat like a sheep during a minutes silence at Filbo #fact
Spudulike Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Some say Vichai led the Baby Squad charge across the pitch at Ipswich dressed as a Hare Krishna
09bballer Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Surely it was when Akinbiyi finally scored and ran down the pitch with his shirt off!
