united have the famous number 7, Ronaldo,best, beckham, newcastle with the number 9 shirt, so which shirt number would you guys say carries the best players for us?

Ive always thought numbers don’t really mean anything unless it’s the 7 at Manchester United (Ronaldo, Cantona, Best...) and Liverpool (Keegan, Suarez, Dalglish...)

It is a shame. We got rid of Banks to accommodate Shilton and he went on to Stoke and won their only silverware. Shilton then went on to achieve much more with Forest than he did with us.

 

So, whilst we did have them both and they are club legends, they are probably bigger legends at other clubs and, from what I can gather, have more fondness for them than us.

Shilton is a Leicester City legend in the same way Wes Morgan is a Nottingham Forest legend.

 

Played for hometown club, moved up/down the road, achieved great things.

To become an iconic number it has to have been worn by a truly iconic player at a time the club won things. The number 9 could be that number when Vardy vacates it, as could the 26 when Mahrez does and 5 for Morgan. Kante didn't stay long enough to make 14 his own.

Oops, nearly forgot Kasper Schmeichel. Of them all it's Shilton and Walligton closely followed by Poole.

Banks isn’t a Leicester legend. He cares more about Stoke than Leicester.
