Just been thinking about this to myself, earlier in the season I only really cared about our progress in the cups because it didn't seem like we'd be able to do anything in the league. But with our league form so good and United looking like a fixture we could potentially get something from, I was just wondering what the general consensus is. League or Cup in this case

Let’s go as strong as we can although I think Man City will put a very strong side out also as pep will want to try and win as many trophies as possible.

What would people prefer, the League Cup or Champions League football?

It's a right dilemma for Puel but if we beat Palace we're only 2pts off fourth place. I wonder what sort of team Man City will field? Maybe Pep feels he can give more focus to the other cups now he has a great buffer in the league?

It will be interesting who doesn't play against Crystal Palace, so many questions I'd like an answer to.

League Cup is far, far, far, far more realistic.

Yes.

Considering how far they're in front of Man Utd, they could think about having intent in this competition now (alongside the CL, too..) and put out a strong side for this themselves.

There's nothing to lose, really.

He certainly knows how to rotate & tinker and still get the best out of that XI. I'd still rather progress in the cup and on Saturday I hope he gives Nachoman a try and rest some other players so they can go gung ho against the Manchesters.

If we could get a few goals early on against palace, then sub vardy mahrez and ibora and play them in the cup, but like a previous poster said, what exactly is our weaker side at the moment?

Winning trophies in the next couple of years is what will cement this era as having been a great one for the club, rather than just the league title being dismissed as a flash in the pan by outsiders. Let's go for this and the FA Cup.

Pleasing to see nigh on everyone on here agrees!
