We have 24 hours longer to recuperate than Yanited . Even if they play the stiffs ( which I doubt as Mourinho will probably not win anything apart from a cup) we shouldn't see this as a certain defeat

Theyll park the bus as normal, but Gray or Mahrez will find a way through and score the only goal.

They will win by a flattering score line but look totally unconvincing. We might even have more possession but someone overrated like Lingard will score.

Hope to be proven wrong but they will have too much.

Gonna be tough watching us lose again on Saturday, gonna be even tougher having to listen to and read all the excuses about fatigue.

This is how I feel as well.

it's going to be a really tough game. we could have done without extra time and penalties but I hope the players don't use that as an excuse!. will need to be at our best defensively and we need to try and create chances against these and take them when we can as Mourinho will look to score early and  then close up shop and then try to sucker punch us!.

That was very disappointing, Leicester City!!!!!

I was hoping you'd have two semi-final legs on top of an FA Cup run for some fixture congestion in January/February.

I'm looking for an edge in the "Battle to be Best of the Rest" and we certainly won't suffer from fixture congestion/tiredness....away to Man City in FA Cup.

Hope you negotiate the first few FA Cup rounds with replays and extra-times.

Hope I'm not in the minority in thinking Man Utd play pretty average in general.

They appear even more bland than they did under Van Gaal imo.

Difference is Mourinho can get away with being 'bland' because he knows how to grind games out. We're talking about someone that has won multiple league titles, European Cups and domestic trophies.

I'll be very surprised if they come and outright attack. Okazaki played the full 120 last night and looked knackered but we'll need him as they'll sit in.

They are not an enjoyable team to watch. Jose hangs his miserable shroud over their playing

Definitely not! In fact it's got to be gauling for a United supporter to see your cross-town neighbours overtake you both as a trophy winning team and as a better footballing team to watch. Sir Alex deserves tremendous credit for making United not just serial winners but to play great attacking football too, for many years and with multiple different generations of players. There is an argument to say Man United are just an expensive West Brom! I think even when we won the title and played low possession football we were at least exciting given the energy levels and getting stuck in approach of Vardy, Shinji and Kante. I feel like United for the most part just bore you to death! And I think that's what will happen on Saturday, we will do alright then bang set piece or mistake and they will score, rather than them carving us open.

Puel is divisive on these forums, but personally I like that he made the team more enjoyable to watch. Even versus Palace where we were frankly crap for the entire 90, I still feel like we tried to play football. Last year we had some poor results too, but in those games all we did was kick it long over and over. We could improve in so many areas but personally after seeing the decline since winning the title it feels like a step in the right direction.

Wymy I think its all about Pogba .if he plays they are a very different outfit but if we can get someone to give him a game and I cant see who it is,then they are beatable.

Chilwelll and Oka will not do it maybe feed Iborra some saw meat and let him have a go.

Okazaki played 120 minutes tonight, any chance of him starting this game? He was dead on his feet at the end.

That's him done for the year methinks. I was amazed he was even standing at the end/

Mourinho parks the bus on away games, and plays counter attacks. Gonna be an interesting game, but I'd think we will see a big scoreline

If (more likely when) we lose this that would be 3 Home defeats in 7 days!... Has that ever happened to us before?

8 days ?

:sweating: Got away with that one!

That was a dive all day (and night) long last night.

I wasn’t complaining but I have to hold my hands up, it was.
