He allowed the manure players far too much leniency and listened to their moans and groans also thought he listened far too much to them before booking our players with their bloody card waving tactics!

The man is so inconsistent he should never be allowed to officiate a football match again oh and he is one hell of a Tw@y FAT CNUT !!

For me the only glaring miss was the Smalling climbing all over Maguire incident. From the camera angle he had a perfect view of Harry being impeded from jumping. I mean, it wasn't a clear denial of a goal scoring opportunity, but anywhere else on the pitch and that would've been a free kick all day long.

Think a lot of people have that West Ham game long in the memory, and rightly so. Probably shouldn't have been given a Leicester fixture since that debacle.

I have probably watched city over 1000 times and he is one of the worst referees I have seen. Obviously years ago there was less scrutiny etc, and less criticism of the officials. Today they are an easy target, but that is their own fault because many crave the attention.

But for rank inconsistency, in 55 years I can't think of a worse referee. The penalty he gave against Wes for a bit of normal argy bargy in the box against Wham and the one didn't give in favour of Maquire who was basically being back scuttled was unbelievable inconsistency. Plus the foul given against Okazaki when the defender knew exactly what he was doing shows he loses focus and attention during the game. Numerous other examples.

I try to keep an open mind; its a difficult job, players cheat etc, but the man needs retiring, he is inept, inconsistent, not fit enough and just poor at his job. Any other industry and he would be out.

Hopefully he will never be given a city home game ever again.

He let plenty go but Amartey only had two fouls and he was off. The first yellow was soft and only deserved a few quiet words. The second was stupid but the sending off was more about Moss than anything else who had created a problem for himself.

Since when has it been acceptable to wrap your arms around an opponent's neck in the penalty area and get away with it?

A disgraceful display from Moss.

It became acceptable when Andy Carroll and Winston Reid chokeslammed Huth to the floor when we played West Ham. The referee was one Jon "fat ****" Moss.

I have never seen him have a neutral game for us. I genuinely believe he hates us, and he genuinely loves ****ing us over.

Let's look at the facts;

He is responsible for the 2 worst refereeing displays that I have ever witnessed.

1) Forest away 2-2, totally cruising until the following key decisions:

*Gives Forest a penalty after a Matt Mills "handball". NEVER a penalty.

*Books Schmeichel for protesting

*Couldn't wait to give Schmeichel a 2nd yellow for kicking the ball back to the halfway line

*Allows Forest equaliser to stand after George Boateng shoves Konchesky over before scoring

Robbery

2) West Ham at home

*Sends Vardy off for a "dive" proven after that it wasn't a dive but should have been a penalty

*Awards West Ham a penalty after a mythical push

*Fails to give us 2 further STONEWALL penalty shouts

Last night, what else would anybody expect from this moron? Amartey is never 2 yellows. Mata's free kick should not have been a free kick. Consistently gave them every decision. It was embarrassing. He is the name that we all dread when we see that he is reffing us. His performances always stand out, up there with Jones' 2 comical handball decisions away at Liverpool and Bobby Madley always shafting us.

We should have every right to say that we should never have Moss ref us again.

Never a penalty to even consider on rashford, I was looking across the pitch and Kasper got a big touch (much bigger than it appeared on match of the day due to the camera angles) on the ball which knocked it back against rashford who then lost control of it.

The stats suggest we committed twice as many fouls as them, I don't see it personally and certainly felt we got none of the 50/50s. Still I don't think this is about Moss having a vendetta against us, he's just a shit ref in general. The **** can barely run.

Before it was 2-1 it wasnt that bad, but when they took the lead, he gave them everything assuming to keep the score what it was.  So for that reason the overall stats dont paint the true picture of how he was at the end of the game.

Anyone who watched that game at the weekend and thought Moss was impartial is kidding themselves. It was outright bias.

It's pretty much like I said the umpteen times he's reffed us and done alright between now and West Ham, it is funny no one has anything to say when he does well.

In fairness, he's reffed us twice since West Ham before Saturday - Swansea away last season where everyone was too busy wanting to lynch the manager before we went down and Huddersfield this season where the place really started to turn on Shakespeare. Unsurprising that there's little said when the forum already has a target for unrestricted levels of bile - the Swansea game he could have sent off ranieri for wearing a tie in a half-Windsor knot rather than a full Windsor and this forum would be too busy shouting about how it was further proof ranieri had lost the plot to complain about it.

Fourth Official in Huddersfield v Stoke.

The way he holds those substitution boards is so lop sided, so so poor, hasn't he heard of the word parallel ffs.

Ignoring the previous fixtures he's officialed for us, as per with many big clubs, every 50/50 went their way

How Pogba wasn't booked for consistent fouling I'll never know, yet Amartey was off for 2 challenges. What happened to the ref seeing the guys lost his head or is too eager to impress (amartey is early 20s and rarely plays) taking him aside and telling him to calm down?

No game management from him, lost control of the game, too easily pressured by Man Utd players and let them dictate his calls

As per usual, he'll get no repercussions because we aren't big enough

How many other refs have, over the last decade sent off so many of our players.

I do not think it is because he hates us, though you never know but more to being inadequate to referee at a high level of football.

Does not seem to communicate with the players and is overly arrogant.

It is exactly this.

It's all too easy to spot this during the game when he is in charge.  He gives everything against us and then rather than communicate his decisions, he'll just go in and give this and that.  Jibes from the crowd are an obvious reaction to this.  He'll then go and have deep and meaningful conversations with the opposing players whilst brushing off our protestations.

Over the course of the game these incidents mount up and then he generally goes on to lose control of the game, favouring the opposition in most cases.

Taking Amartey's two yellows as an example, yes, when viewed in isolation there's an argument there to say two yellows were warranted.  However, neither yellow card came with a verbal warning of the consequences.

A strong referee on the first foul would have had a quiet word and left it at that.  Do it again and there's your yellow.

Moss just goes straight for the kill and brandishes what he wants.  It's difficult to respect such a poor official.

Not a criticism of today’s referee but here’s the largest issue, consistency. He booked five players within thirty minutes whereas others wouldnt get their cards out of their pockets. The different referees are so divisive in how they officiate it means there will always be controversy.

5-2 in the Spurs game today somebody hoofs the ball miles away in the last minute after a free kick is awarded, the ref shrugs it off. Would he do that in a tight 2-1 match?

Yep shrugged his shoulders didn’t he?

Brilliant decision to send their player off, many better refs would have bottled that. Credit where it’s due, will give him an 8 in the post match ratings thread.

Dont think I’ve ever given more than a 6, other than one excellent champions league ref.

MotD were lazy, Moss motioned to say he gave the first yellow for the two fouls adding up with the first one which was uncommented by Shearer on and not put into the highlights which was a worse foul than the one on Maddison

Overall, personally think Michael Oliver is the best out of the lot in recent times.

Admire him for the penalty incident at the Champions League, where Buffon was furious, that he decided on in challenging circumstances/pressure.
