John Moss unfit to ref?

Utterly inept, and we're not the only set of fans to say it. Ineptitude and arrogance are a toxic mix, and Moss is the kind to make everything about him. He's patently the kind of twat who'd propose to his missus at his best mate's wedding.

 

He's also the only referee I've ever come across who can make controversial decisions in a fvcking Soccer Aid match.

Think he got most calls right - yes could have booked Pogba, but appart from that. Didn’t feel there was enough in the Maguire penalty shout, even if Smalling was living dangerously.

The stats suggest we committed twice as many fouls as them, I don't see it personally and certainly felt we got none of the 50/50s. Still I don't think this is about Moss having a vendetta against us, he's just a shit ref in general. The **** can barely run.

How he gave Amertey's first yellow and not a yellow to Pogba for stopping our counter attack i dont know.

They didnt show the replay, but that looked like a foul on shinji near the end which i couldnt believe he let go

He let plenty go but Amartey only had two fouls and he was off. The first yellow was soft and only deserved a few quiet words. The second was stupid but the sending off was more about Moss than anything else who had created a problem for himself.

Since when has it been acceptable to wrap your arms around an opponent's neck in the penalty area and get away with it?

I just don't like his style. I think he's too quick to blow up and often penalises decent challenges. He's got an air of Jeff Winter about him- too keen to get really involved.

 

Look, we've benefitted from his decisions before, the penalty against West Ham in 2016 was one. Tonight he was just inconsistent for me.

By the same standards Pogba should have been off in the first half, cos he clipped someone and he later bodychecked a City player.

According to the run of play the scarey part for me was when Harry's goal went in, i was really expecting the whistle to go and it be dissallowed for <insert reason here>

That Amartey first booking is a total joke. Handball by Young not given as they break away with the ball, then Young goes down under absolutely no contact and he gets his cards out. Later on, Maguire gets completely climbed all over right under his fat little nose and he does nothing, guess he's not as interested in grappling anymore, when it's not in our box during a title run in.
