We all hope your right.

For what it is worth the inside track is that he is another quite complicated character (Drinky was similar and he did alright) but also lacks a bit of drive or appears too - he has a massive amount very young and is still very young in many ways but some of the smatterings of a top player at Man City and the deal we have paid him make it quite a challenge without inner belief, motivation and drive.

Not writing him off but it maybe that it won't out here and I think he has a lot to do with Puel to make a mark!

For 25m id expect not to wait for him to come good!

No , but when he does, and replaces vardy in 2 years time, I bet you'd expect 75 million for him

We paid that much for his potential rather than his current ability.

Stoke are interested as well. A loan move there wouldn't be too bad.

NO WAY loan him out to Stoke, let them drop like a stone !!

After tonight's cup match he will no doubt be re-classified as golden balls worth at least (put in the numbers of YOUR choice).

He is still an apprentice, learning the game, but with certain attributes that make him a talent worth developing.

Leave him alone to develop and WE WILL prosper, remember the flak that Vards was given when he first played ???

Ahahahahah... all the experts wanting him off. How do you look like now?

Loan is one thing. Agree that to sell is foolish. Disclaimer: I am not pro-loan.

Had the ball in the net 3 times tonight.  Doesn't he deserve a bit of praise?

Mouth himself ahead of Slimiani tonight I’d say. Still 3rd striker but perhaps less likely for a loan.

Agree. I too wouldn't loan him and I suppose Puel has the same opinion. He almost never played and when he did it was behind Vardy/Slim most of the time. He's a pure striker and has to be played as such. Should Slim go (and I really wish he does because I can't stand the moaners on here anymore) we have 0 options forward should Vardy be injured.

Why is he good now or something?

He ain't bad. At least far less worse than you and some here make him out to be and it is still way too soon to pass a definitive judgment. The trigger happy fans like you here would have a stroke if we bought Lukaku or Morata and would label Messi as shit as soon as he'd have a couple of bad games.

You're obsessed with his price tag (which is peanuts in the actual market) and expect him to hit the ground running no matter what. One bad move and you reach to your forks and torches. Same with Slim.

A bit yes

But to claim a U turn based on a single game against lower league opposition, no.

One could also argue "he has found his level".
