Worms/Slugs etc, where do they come from, has anyone ever asked the question "are these aliens?" We talk about looking for alien life forms, maybe they're already here and we just ignore them because they have been here for years.

I don't think aliens would eat all my cabbages. Worms are natures creation for naturally improving soil by breaking down waste matter and are remarkable creatures. Slugs, however have no discernable useful function

Always wondered if it would be possible to eat steadily until you started shitting and continue that chain. So like you're always shitting and always eating. A chain of consumption and waste.

Well no, the intestines/bowels doesn't move that quickly. You'd have to chew very, very slowly.

This time last year we were all still walking around with naked faces. Like careless twats.

Might be one for unpopular opinions thread but looking back I enjoyed that last weekend we had this time last year, went to a local rugby match and a pub / restaurant. I was regularly using (homemade high alcohol) hand sanitiser and careful about shaking hands. Considering where everyone is in the process globally now, I have no regrets about the socialising that weekend.

Does intelligence have a direct correlation to moral compass? In terms of, will being more intelligent make you more likely to have a objectively 'good' moral compass?

This study suggests it does.

It says basically Right-wingers are less intelligent than those on the left.

How do you properly define and measure intelligence? And what constitutes a ‘good’ moral compass?

If there is any evidence either way, it will a good example of being ‘flawed’ by being WEIRD-centric

Depends what you mean by intelligence - IQ or EQ?

I'd suggest those with high EQ (empathy, self awareness, self control etc) might have an objectively good moral compass, yes.

I also know people who are highly intellectual (IQ) that aren't particularly ethical and don't display the values you'd expect from someone with a 'good' moral compass.

Never heard of EQ before. I guess if there is a correlation between IQ and EQ would have been a better way to put it then. From a small bit of searching seems to be true, at least go a certain extent.

Yeah EQ (Emotional Intelligence) is relatively new I guess since Dan Golemans book first came out in 1995.

For me, it's a better (more modern/relevant) measure of Intelligence than IQ. I'd like to think I've got pretty high EQ (well the tests say I have) but I certainly don't have a very high IQ and won't be joining MENSA any time soon :D

Yeah, this is about right. High IQ doesn't preclude being moral, but having the benefit of intelligence can lead to a truly bottomless groundswell of creative cruelty - look at Josef Mengele, among others, there.

EQ is the better measure of morality.
