Also not bad for Burnley and Everton, but teams in the bottom 8 or may even 10 are fighting hard against relegation so is it an easy game.

So who has the toughest run-in? We've looked at the current league position of each team's remaining opposition and calculated the average level of difficulty - and it's good news for Liverpool fans, while relegation-threatened Brighton have a nightmare finale to their first Premier League campaign…

Run-ins analysed

Team Avg position of remaining opponents Matches v top 6
Brighton 7.1 5
West Ham 9.1 4
Stoke 9.4 4
Newcastle 9.5 4
West Brom 9.5 3
Huddersfield 9.7 4
Watford 9.9 4
Crystal Palace 10.4 3
Bournemouth 10.5 3
Southampton 10.5 3
Chelsea 10.8 3
Swansea 11 3
Man Utd 11.1 3
Man City 11.2 3
Burnley 11.3 2
Tottenham 11.5 2
Arsenal 11.6 1
Everton 11.8 2
Liverpool 12 2
Leicester 12.1 2

Yeah, I’ve thought this about our fixture list for a while as we had a bit of a tough start which can sort of decide your season in a way.... trouble now is that we will be playing teams fighting for their lives...

Trouble is our new style is not working against lower teams. Crystal Palace, Swansea and Stoke bear testimony to that. It's true we're less likely to lose to them but we're also at risk of drawing a lot.

So true.

You're  actually better off not playing the teams in the bottom 6 in the run in, they are fighting for their lives. We as Leicester fans should appreciate this as much as anyone. You want to play teams who are heading to the beach at this time of year.

Arsenal they are focused on winning the Europa League and in poor form, they would be the best team to play in the run in. As long as they stay in Europe.

Doesn't matter if we can't perform, Swansea, Stoke and C.Palace were all in the bottom three when they rocked up to the KP, we took two points from 9.......

This and had we held on for the win at the emirates we would be clear 6th.

We do, which is why it's even more frustrating how many points we've dropped recently. Everton, Swansea, Stoke... should have 7 -9 points out of those games instead of 2. The game tomorrow I think has draw written all over it given the cold weather this week and form we are in.

One thing I'd say though which is despite a lot of doom and gloom on the boards is that in these games we had more of the game than the opponent and just didn't put away enough chances. Even against Everton where we very poor we could have got a point with some better luck and finishing. This is an improvement over last season where apart from that great run when Shakespeare came in, we never really looked convincing in any game.

But I think like a lot of us on here, I would be disappointed if we finish lower than 7th unless we win the FA Cup because outside of the top 6, all of the teams are so poor. Sadly as of right now, I would have to say we are in that category. The -1 Goal Difference says it all really!

Means nothing when we are as shit as we are at the minute, we all thought we would beat palace at home, who hadn’t won away, and if I remember right hadn’t score away, couldn’t beat two very poor sides in Swansea and stoke at home either.

Without a dramatic change in mentality, as in not playing it as safe with line ups, we are going to struggle, so game by game for me.

The Swansea and Stoke results have killed any expectations I had of getting 7th.

Really with our squad and fixtures remaining we should be finishing 7th, but right now i am very disappointed with the level of performances on the pitch.

Not helped by Puel not playing his Best 11 players we have.

Not helped by those "best players" still failing to beat teams when they play.

Need to beat fellow mid-table sides Bournemouth, Burnley and to a lesser extent Brighton and Newcastle because I'm convinced we will lose at West Brom and Palace, they need the points and I think they'll want it more.

Switch back to our title winning style ?

Yet so many on here claimed it was not possible. It would have been easier than many thought. This arsenil side are pants. Definitely not the best rear guard to keep the top six the top six.

They are in grave danger of just being one of the best of the rest. Ffs even spuds have left them behind.

We've played the bottom four at home, drawn three and lost one. I can't get too excited. They're the games we're starting to bodge up.

No chance we are getting 7th and the seasons become a missed opportunity as we could have easily run Arsenal very close indeed for 6th. When we go out of the Cup I think it's got to go down as quite a poor season.

Man City can fvck off. We had the momentum before they messed us about and we've been dog muck ever since.

The run in will say a lot about Puel. How well can he motivate the players in less glamourous ties against scrappy opposition when we have very little to play for. Is his slowly slowly build up play ever really going to be incisive enough against teams who sit back. Can he demonstrate flexibility and the ability to change things when the team are being frustrated and so on

Will be quite disappointed if we don't win the next three PL fixtures, if the team wants to be serious top-five contenders in the future.

We are to conservative at home, we are going out not to lose and three points are a bonus.

Can't see us pick up more than  much more than a total of 51-52 pts by the end of the season!
