With the owners giving their backing to the manager and after another woeful performance this afternoon where, seriously, is this Club heading. Given our current run of form, inept displays and obviously an unharmonious dressing room and behind the scenes situation just where are we headed. If we continue in this vain the Championship beckons. Since January our record has been relegation standard and it is only good fortune that we amassed enough points earlier on that we're not joining Stoke City. To my mind it's not just Puel but far too many players are, for whatever reason, not prepared to give their all. There is no guts, no passion, no pride and reminds me of the season we were relegated to League 1. The owners must be mortified by the vast amounts of money they have shelled out to watch this utter drivel.

Matty Etherington as a pundit on Sky earlier talking about Stoke said getting rid of players like Glenn Whelan was an example of not enough solid characters in the dressing room - grifters, people who work and throw a rocket if others are slacking.

Do we have enough of those characters these days? I don’t know... maybe we do, or maybe it’s just that they are overpaid, have already chased and attained their dream/big contract...?

You can’t imagine a team with Walsh, Taggs, Lennon, Marshy etc just laying down like we are at the moment.

Maybe I’m wrong?

We're they really slacking off today? It looked to me like there was plenty of huffing and puffing, but nobody knew where anyone else was going. In other words, more lack of organization than lack of effort.

On this form, to the championship, it is however in our hands ( well the owners) to do something about it and get rid of the management and those above who are incompetent at what they do. Even if we sack Puel I’ve still no faith in us recruiting the right players, I fear we will just piss away £100M on players who may have scored a hat trick in some league I’ve never heard of.

The club seem to be in denial, Puel just come out with the same old excuses, why doesn't he just admit he clueless and unless the owner are putting a public front about Puel, thats worrying too, maybe they had their glory with Leicester too and realise they cant top that! The last two seasons have been a story of missed opportunities and we not really much further than we were in 2014/15. If were the owners id give NP a pot of money and get him to rebuild the squad, hes done it onces, why not again. Id have more faith in him than Puel

The owners will sack Puel and a new guy will appear on the scene.

We will support him initially but longer term it will be dependent on the new signings.

i suspect we will be dicing with relegation worries for much of next season

Relegation.

Puel will more than likely get sacked. Our pathetic recruitment team will bring in a new manager who they probably haven't looked into enough. A few new players will come in, not enough as we need a lot of new players. Bottom half by Christmas. Manager will get sacked. And we'll go around in circles again until we go down.

Depressingly likely. Just grow a pair and get Pearson in Rudkin you power hungry control freak.

We'll be wasting another season if we persist with Puel.

We'll end up sacking him after about 6 games and have to start again only this time we may not have enough to stay up.

I've no faith whatsoever in our ability to recruit players and certainly not in recruiting managers. If we do get a decent manager it will be down to luck like with Claudio.
