Stevosevic Posted 11 May 2018 Posted 11 May 2018 The Leicester pair of Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy will be in Southgate’s 23, while there have been suggestions that he is considering Ben Chilwell.
urban.spaceman Posted 11 May 2018 Posted 11 May 2018 Chilwell? Interesting! Never thought I'd see one Leicester player for England at the World Cup, let alone 3!

dylanlegend Posted 11 May 2018 Posted 11 May 2018 Chilwell is shite. Joe Mattock in disguise. Thank God we've got Fuchs for another year 1 1

He lost his only opportunity being given the run around by Australia pre-Euros, and has fallen sharply off a cliff ever since both here and at Chelsea I hate the idea of Jake Livermore being anywhere near the England side but he is 10x more deserving than Drinkwater 1

Popular Post Aus Fox Posted 12 May 2018 Popular Post Posted 12 May 2018 Still cannot believe how much shite Chilwell gets on here. For a young homegrown lad, who has been part of the England youth set up for a long time and now is being looked at by the seniors. He's not the finished article yet, but there is one hell of a player in there and I for one hope we get to see it here. 22 2
SheppyFox Posted 12 May 2018 Posted 12 May 2018 Doesn’t matter who he takes, if he continues the trend of starting a majority of the first 11 as spurs players we won’t get anywhere in the World Cup.

He gives his best and on occasions does the odd ill thought out pass or is found out of position, yet he's young and playing his first proper season up against some seasoned pro's, some of the best in the country. We have neither the money or pulling power to bring a finished article like Marcelo et al here and the same goes for every other position on the pitch. If he's the same after another 2 years in the Premiership then we'd have to re-evaluate but for the time being, a bit of encouragement for him and all our young lads wouldn't go amiss. Have seen some negative comments on here about Choudhury as well but he's growing in stature every game. If they say there's a big leap in standard from the Championship to the Premiership, just imagine what the gulf is from the u23s and how daunting it must be. Time will tell and I wish them luck and personally enjoy their journey. Makes you wonder what Klopp, Puel and Southgate see in Chilwell, perhaps they get a different view point when not looking from an armchair? 2 1

He does given he's a British citizen, he just already represented a different country. dont believe chilwells in consideration, realistically no one who hasn't already featured in a squad will be involved.
