In fact, the whole period between August and December consists of a lot of do-able games. I worry about the December/Christmas period with Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester City mostly.

 

But hey, here's to a great better season!

Not a great fixture list. Tough end to the season but a tough start that could see us without a win in August if we're not geared up for it.

19 home and 19 away is about as good as it gets for us.

Liverpool away end of Jan and Utd at home first game in Feb. That'll be fun.

To be fair, playing the big clubs over Christmas might not be a bad thing- lots of fixtures, squad rotation, etc. Much more likely to catch them on an off-day.

 

Same goes for the start of the season- majority of their squads will have had reduced rest and preparation time due to the World Cup.

Wouldn't be surprised if Puel goes sometime in September.

Wolves, Southampton and Bournemouth in the first 5. Results and performances against those sides will determine Puel's fate IMO. If we are OK after that, we'll probably keep him, but poor home performances and results and he'll be gone.

 

Can't take Wolves for granted, they played us off the pitch in that pre-season friendly last year and will be highly motivated having just come up.

Just wait for them to do what Man City did to us at the end of Jan and bid for our best player(s) and unsettle them...

Wonder what tv time our opening day fixture will get moved to? Can possibly see the wolves one being moved as well but the first is an absolute given.

Yeah can see us being the mid day kick off on the Saturday with the Arsenal v Man City game being the season opener the night before.
