First gaurenteed idiot prize is not unexpected lol

guilty as charged.

Pretty sure Rudkin has been praised in some parts for the last 2 signings though. And it's not like he's never got praise before. Just that at some points of his tenure it's not been that great. You say there could be worse out there. True. But there must be better options out there that could do his job more to our benefit.

Like we needed another thread about Rudkin open up to allow those that hate to argue with those that don't.

I can’t believe all the bum licking Rudkin gets because he’s actually managed to sign a player a manager has asked for.

People are treating it like hes purchased them out of his own pocket and it’s his choice of players.

Friends, Foxestalkers, countrymen, lend me your ears;

I come to bury Rudkin, not to praise him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their bones;

So let it be with Rudkin. The noble Foxestalkers

Hath told you Rudkin was ambitious:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Rudkin answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Foxestalkers and the rest–

For Foxestalkers are all honourable men;

So are they all, all honourable men–

Come I to speak in Rudkin’s funeral.

He was my friend, faithful and just to me:

But Foxestalkers says he was ambitious;

And Foxestalkers are all honourable men.

He hath brought many captives home to Leicester City

Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:

Did this in Rudkin seem ambitious?

When that the poor have cried, Rudkin hath wept:

Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:

Yet Foxestalkers says he was ambitious;

And Foxestalkers are all honourable men.

You all did see that on the Official Site

He was thrice presented a kingly crown,

Which he did thrice refuse: was this ambition?

Yet Foxestalkers says he was ambitious;

And, sure, he is an honourable man.

I speak not to disprove what Foxestalkers spoke,

But here I am to speak what I do know.

You all did love him once, not without cause:

What cause withholds you then, to mourn for him?

O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts,

And men have lost their reason. Bear with me;

My heart is in the coffin there with Rudkin,

And I must pause till it come back to me.

Wow, When did you develop this fountain of wisdom.?

Firstly, Whelan runs the company and does a dam good job of it. Other than controlling financial budgets, I doubt if she has anything to so with the Football side of things.

Rudkin heads up the Football side of things. He organizes the movement of players, yes he's made mistakes which I'm sure he's learned from. I doubt if he has much more than an opinion on targets and signings. We have people employed for that.

Should we argue about arguing, or should we argue about not arguing? On the other hand , should we not argue about not arguing, or should not argue about arguing? Mind you, we could always not argue about arguing in the first place, or argue about about arguing that not arguing is an argument that either does or does not argue, for the sake of arguing or not arguing in the first place. Personally I would argue that none of the above are not worth arguing about in the first place. :dunno:

:facepalm: Now look what's happened to my argument.

It's a good start. Fair play if they keep it up. But don't forget we started well last summer too.

About to say same thing. We started well with signing Maguire early on.

I met Joe Mattock the other week he said Jon is a lovely bloke and helped him a lot at Leicester but he’s so far out of his depth as director of football at the club it’s unbelievable!

Some of us "idiot" "dicks" try to think a little more deeply about what goes on at the club we support - in doing so avoiding making assumptions about what the owners think and what they would do - were they more football savvy.

Whelan gets very little stick (shitty or shitless) on this forum.

Rudkin is the man who takes responsibilty for successful/unsuccessful signings because he elected to place himself in the position he occupies. He knows the territory and knows what to expect should he give the nod to a particular player.

Personally, I think he's underperforming in the job, but I recognise that the success in the hiring of any player is down to multiple factors - not just footballing ability.

Yet another poster trying to get his (or her) digs in on the back of a contentious and rather pointless post.

If pointless post why bother replying ?
