Lol at all posters criticising VAR-  it might have been used incorrectly here but it had been useful in other games- Peru's pen vs Denmark for starters.   On the balance,  I would say it is 80/20 in favour of the VAR.

Rotten second half with the referee and VAR- both penalties given incorrectly having decided correctly first time that nothing was amiss. How the second one is given is beyond me.

I think it’s the potential it has to ruin so many more games. The players tonight were appealing for everything and anything and the ref was checking everything. It almost gave the players license to cheat even more.
