Make him captain, build the team around him and chuck some more money at him. He doesn't seem like the type to throw a tantrum if we turn down an offer- I reckon he'll be pretty happy about how his career has progressed since we signed him, so he won't be desperate to leave.

He's invaluable to both the current domestic and international team.

If he leaves for a very large fee, there'll be some pressure on him to succeed if he does go somewhere else.

Hence, it's right for him to continue at his current employer that is growing itself for better things to come where he's quite crucial for that to happen.

hes not that daft to go anywhere this season. we gave him the platform and he has succeeded. he should keep himself grounded for now. 1st player in the 1st 11 for me. he will only get better. top lad.

I bet it never crossed your mind that Norwich could keep Maddison.  Why would he stay at a smaller or less successful club?

 

There is a food chain and every club has it's place.

Agreed but we're an obvious step up from Norwich and we have ambition to break the top 6. Their attitude irks me too as how can we catch them if we just sell to them...
