Simply put, how much?

Good first year, good England run, it won't be long until other teams are linked with him.

I'd say personally around 50m based on his first year with us and if he could keep it up.

not for sale :P unless the price is so ridiculous its laughable.

We are not going to be selling any other players we want to keep this window, look at mardy Mahrez, took him this long throwing tantrums to get a move

He's a year younger than VVD who went for £75m

Seeing as English players also demand an extra premium, then I'd want at least that

But we'll probably sell him for about £35 though knowing us

his contract was five years so we can keep him another two years without him losing any real value. if someone wants to take him with four years left on his current deal then they are going to need to fork out 50m. Unless he asks to leave then I don’t see the owners considering any bids - seems a grounded fella so us improving his current terms now may pay a dividend next summer in keeping him here until end of season 19/20.

I think £50m is probably the right sort of figure.

However I doubt we’ll be seeing him leave this summer unless we get offered stupid money. I get the impression the owners aren’t interested in selling our star players, and having an England international like Maguire brings kudos to the club and the owners. Just look at how long it is taking Mahrez to leave as evidence of how resolute our owners can be.

More than any club is feasibly willing to pay.

Liverpool aren’t be going to spend huge amounts of money having bought VVD, spent so lavishly on Fabinho and Keita - plus Maguire can do a lot of things but play in a high line isn’t one of them.

Arsenal don’t have the money. They’ve also signed Sokratis and Koscielny is captain.

Chelsea are in turmoil, they’re not going to sanction such a huge amount on a single player.

Man City have Stones and Laporte in the long term, Pep is an admirer by all accounts but can’t imagine he’s too keen on his lack of pace.

Man United I can see being the most likely seeing as their defenders bar Bailly are bins but there’s not been any noise about it. Here’s hoping there isn’t any.

Theres not any European clubs that will pay the money, if we’re struggling to sell Riyad at £70m then there won’t be takers for Maguire at that price.

Wow I’m actually shocked I was expecting to laugh my way through this thread but everyone’s being very sensible. Personally given his age, contract length, being English and his recent world cup showing I have him at £75m right now

Knowing us, we'll get an offer for £35m, we'll laugh at it, and he'll still be here next season. And the season after that.

good defenders,are scarce,So....this season 55-65 mil.

next season, and his curve still on an upward drive, more Int.Caps...65-80 mil..

Then again I only see clubs like MCity,Manutd...Juve,PSG paying that price

Questioning his pace...I see no major issue.

Hes mixing it at Wcup level.he drives forward, and is a top header of the ball.

unless he makes 2-4 real big blunders,in this Wcup, and through next season,His quality and

top clubs interest will not wane....Plus he might just be happy to sit in  and enjoy his status at Leicester for a few seasons.

A team would have to pay an astronomical sum for him to consider selling and unless he handed in a transfer request I don't the club would consider selling. He's an England international and likely will be for the next 5-6 years. Puel already said he wants to build the team around him. Our owners are awesome they already had him sign a long term deal and without a release fee. Maguire is exactly the sort of player we need to take the next step as a club so selling him would be madness.

Currently of our younger players, Maguire and Ndidi are the real deal. Ricardo, Nacho, Chilwell Diabate and based on his transfer fee Madison are hopefully the next ones to get to that level. Choudhury and Barnes potentially could also.

So exciting for the club! The title may not ever come again, but we've reached our goal of being Premier League regulars. Now it's time to consistently challenge for Europe and with the new Training Centre, the Stadium upgrades and all of these kick ass young players (many of whom are already high achievers) we are well positioned to do it.

Famous last words but I think the next 5 years of being a Foxes fan are going to be fun! :scarf:

Great post mate. He’s our future Captain & there’s not a chance the owners will sell him regardless of what’s put on the table. Talks on an improved contract have already taken place even before his performances at the World Cup.

Although the figures will be a lot different now I have no doubts he’ll sign a new deal with us
