Was obvious when he didn't line up against Valencia, Slim will be gone too very soon.

One thing you can say about him was that he didn't throw his toys out of the pram when he didn't get what he wanted and always but in 100% effort for us.

....best outcome for all parties concerned!!!!

So disappointed at the outcome of this, I guess no one would have believed after the exploits of Barcelona that we would end up berating a player who we chose to play in the wrong position.

The mistakes and poor applications on the pitch were borne out of someone trying too hard to impress and not having the opportunity to play in the position that would illicit his full potential. I would rather have a player putting in a shift and givng 100% for the team even when things are not going for you. If  Slimani gave as much effort when on the pitch and not be selective about the balls he wishes to make an attempt to play he would be a much better player. We constantly contrast and compare players and as a club forum we select players that meet a certain criteria (worse player ever seen, best player etc) I can't help thinking as these players have worn the club jersey we find another way to describe their contribution in their time here.

Wilf really liked the guy and the last thing we need is a pissed off Wilf.

He just wasn't Premiership quality and we've had a lot them over the years.

Best of luck to the bloke, hope it works out for him and I'm glad both parties appear to be happy with the outcome.

And most of us of course

Wilf and Nacho were always far closer with each other than either of them were with Musa. He'll be fine.

Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi will surely miss his Nigerian teammate, Ahmed Musa at the English Premier League club, as he has revealed a very deep level of intimacy between him and the Saudi Arabia-bound attacker.

In the wake of reports indicating that Musa has finally opted to accept a mega-money bid from a top Saudi club, Ndidi has revealed that he is very close with the former CSKA Moscow of Russia star and their third Nigerian teammate at Leicester, Kelechi Iheanacho.

In proving how close he is with Musa and Iheanacho, Ndidi took to social media to unveil a photograph of a happy moment they had together in training with The Foxes.

In his post, Ndidi is seeing carrying both Musa and Iheanacho on his back, but showing no repulsions about it, as he is grinning from ear-to-ear, with the other two also all smiles.

Ndidi, who appeared to be at home carrying the full weight of both colleagues on his shoulders joked about the shot, as he wrote: “Looking like i carried the whole country.”

Do I sense some sort of hesitation here?

:D

You can argue about his effort, but not about his end product or ability on the ball - both rather shocking.

Stunning piece of work from the club. I'd thought we'd be resigned to letting Musa go out on loan again or selling for a fee in the region of £8million and making a sizeable loss. To lose only £1million up front (if they £15mil fee is accurate, the rumoured £17.5mil fee puts us up already!) and potentially be £9million up overall is great business for us.

I wish Musa well, but that's absurd money they've paid for such a limited player and a pleasantly surprising outgoing for ourselves. Now lets crack on with moving out a few others, starting with Slimani, and bringing a few more reinforcements in before the new season.

Maybe we don't even want to acknowledge he was ever here?

Good bit of business, that.

Just shows what a half decent performance in the WC can do for the value of player. Let's face it, he was absolutely doggo for us.

What are our takings from players now? What, £80m? SPEND IT RUDKIN.

Not sure it is bad business for Al Nassr to be honest -- They have lots of money, Musa is a devout Muslim active in Islamic charities in Nigeria so will appeal to their fans - especially after a great World Cup, and he is likely to be the best player on the pitch (scary, I know). But for them, the decision is similar to the ones made by MLS clubs when they hire ageing big names who can't cut it in Europe anymore, it's about building a fan base and a brand, and little else.

I'm certain that it will have no effect on Wilf. Players get transferred all the time, it's football.

It's a good move for all, Musa gets a fresh start, we get money, and the Saudi team get... Well.. anyway, if Musa didn't want to leave, he would of rejected the contract.

Looks some player in that video, sign him up I say!

If you go by the video alone, surely you must come to the conclusion he's a plane crash waiting to happen...?

I didn't say it was bad business for Al Nassr, in another Musa thread in the transfer section I said it was a good move for all parties, including Al Nassr.  But it is still big money we weren't expecting, from Leicester's point of view, hence me saying it was absurd money for a limited player.

Did things with the ball that were so bad at times it was scaresly believable.

World Cup was a right stroke of luck for us.

That cross against Sheff United haunts me.

It's some video.

Is that meant to be Musa checking in? They could have at least used a black person!

The idea of the windows being a screen inside the plane is actually forward thinking. They reckon it'll be the future where the whole inside of the fuselage is a screen showing the outside of a plane so it will feel like you're flying in a giant glass bottle. No need for windows to be built into planes then so actually could save money.
