Daniel Iversen seems to be having a good first season of senior football for Oldham, 36 appearances in all competitions so far including some Cup heroics, seems to get a lot of praise from their fans. Also cemented his place as the Danish U21's #1 with 3 clean sheets in 4 games this season to help them qualify for the U21 Euros this Summer as Group Winners.

Championship loan next, then No. 2 after Kasper leaves.

Slimani was our worst striker ever though...

I dont think I've seen anyone suggest this.... I think most people agree he is an okay player he just doesnt suit us or our squad mentality.  There's a goal scorer in there, just not one worth 30m

Not by a mile. Had a great start just plagued by injuries and no opportunities. But yeah not worth close to 30 Mill. Wouldn't mind to have him back at Sporting though, he would be massive here again.

I hope Diabate does alright so we can flog him at a profit.

Bit early to be writing him off isn't it? Only just turned 23 and just out the French second tier. He's shown potential, direct runner and alright with the ball, just not quite good enough for the top flight yet. Better off if he has a good spell there then we evaluate his development and whether he's good enough for the step up next season - he'd be cheaper than Ghezzal after all.

More Landmarks For City's Loan Contingent
LOANS
Published 1 hr 1 min ago

Adrien Silva maintained his unbeaten record for AS Monaco, Andy King made his full Derby County debut and Islam Slimani scored for Fenerbahçe in the latest round of fixtures for Leicester City’s loan stars this week.

Silva & Johnson Make Debuts For AS Monaco & Hibernian
- Seven Leicester City players starred for their loan clubs over the past week
- Portugal international Adrien Silva's AS Monaco were held to a 2-2 draw by Montpellier
- Andy King made his full debut for Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship
- Algerian striker Islam Slimani scored the only goal as Fenerbahçe beat Zenit St Petersburg

Silva, 29, joined Monaco on loan on Deadline Day, with Youri Tielemans heading to the Foxes, and helped his new adopted club to victory over Toulouse earlier this month.

On Sunday, meanwhile, the Portugal international midfielder was once again a second half substitute in a dramatic 2-2 draw with Montpellier at Stade de la Mosson.

Gelson Martins gave the visitors the lead early on and, while Gaëtan Laborde levelled after the break, Radamel Falcao's 82-minute strike appeared to win it for Monaco.

However, Andy Delort’s 91st-minute leveller denied Monaco a precious victory before Jemerson de Jesus Nascimento was dismissed for the away side in the dying moments.

As a result, Leonardo Jardim's men are currently 18th in Ligue 1, one place above the relegation berths, ahead of the visit of Nantes on Saturday (7pm GMT kick-off).

Slimani, on the other hand, found the net for Fenerbahçe in a crucial 1-0 home victory over Zenit St Petersburg in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie.

The 30-year-old was quickest to pounce for the Turkish outfit on Tuesday night as they took a slender one-goal lead in the 21st minute at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.

Following a league clash with Konyaspor on Saturday (4pm GMT kick-off), Fenerbahçe head to Russia for the second leg on Thursday (4:55pm GMT kick-off).

Elsewhere, in the Sky Bet Championship, King started for Derby in a 1-1 draw with relegation battlers Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Wednesday.

Tom Lawrence handed the Rams a perfect start inside two minutes, but Jon Nolan's equaliser 10 minutes into the second half was enough to deny Frank Lampard's seventh-placed side.

King, 30, played for 73 minutes before being replaced by Mason Bennett. On Saturday, Derby visit Brighton & Hove Albion in the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup (12:30pm GMT kick-off).

Goalkeeper Daniel Iversen, on the other hand, made his 32nd appearance for Oldham Athletic in Tuesday night’s 4-1 win over Yeovil Town, Paul Scholes’ first as Latics manager.

The Manchester United legend stuck with Iversen, 21, in goal following an impressive first season for the young Danish stopper in Sky Bet League 1.

Jose Baxter and Callum Lang struck for Oldham in the first half, before Bevis Mugabi got one back, but Mohammed Maouche and Christopher Missilou made sure later on.

Scholes' side, who are 11th in the third tier, welcome Crewe Alexandra to Boundary Park on Saturday (3pm GMT kick-off).

Also in League 1, midfielder George Thomas played 81 minutes in a 2-0 home success over Accrington Stanley on Saturday, courtesy of goals from Kyle Wootton and Kevin van Veen.

Senior Wales international Thomas, 21, could make his 27th appearance for the Iron in Saturday's clash at Gillingham (3pm GMT kick-off).

Finally, Elliott Moore, 21, and Bartosz Kapustka, 22, both featured in a late 2-1 defeat for Oud-Heverlee Leuven by KV Mechelen in the Belgian Proximus League on Saturday.

While OH Leuven took the lead through Mathieu Maertens in the 24th minute, Igor de Camargo and Joachin van Damme turned the game on its head at Achter de Kazerne.

Under the guidance of Frank Vercauteren and Vincent Euvrard, OHL, who are seventh in the second phase, face Westerlo at King Power at Den Dreef Stadium on Saturday (4pm GMT kick-off).

Filip Benković (Celtic), Fousseni Diabaté (Sivasspor), Callum Elder (Ipswich Town), Josh Knight (Peterborough United) and Darnell Johnson (Hibernian) did not feature.

Didn’t Elder sign a new deal recently? That seems strange now

Yeah he’s got another year to run on his contract after this summer. Unless Ughelumba can step up from the u23s we’ll be looking for a backup left back in the summer now.
