From this season, cashless tills will operate on the majority of concourse kiosks.

Card (contactless/non-contactless) or mobile payments only are accepted at cashless tills, with cash tills sign posted in black.

The introduction of cashless tills is intended to reduce the average waiting time. The Club believes the change will have a positive impact on all of our supporters.

What happens when the online system goes down during a game?  I know this is highly unlikely and rare but imagine thousands of fans cant buy beer! Riots!

They are agency staff dealt with by compass on minimum wage, they couldn't care less. Blame the club for using compass.

I guess with role models like slimani it’s hardly surprising how slack they are

About the same chance as you losing your wallet, in which case, it wouldn't matter any way.

The problem was never the cash. It's the epsilon semi-morons who work there. They all need a two minute pause to get over the last transaction. Entirely unfit for the job.

What are people under the age of 18 (i.e. without a debit/credit card) supposed to do?

If the other thread on foxestalk is true some cocaine smuggling seeing as thats fashionable and cool for young and old folk alike. They can then trade said cocaine for debit transactions for beer/food.

Personally i think cashless is stupid but i understand why they go that route. But like others have said its not always about cash but rather the people providing the service

The inability to plan ahead and realise that 32,000 people might want some beer, with zero beers poured in advance.

Definitely, but I've wasted weeks of my life watching them try to work out how much change to give me- the less they have to use their brains, the better.
