Or Benny and Morgan will go out on loan if no one buys them (likely)

I'd forgot about Benny.

Maguire, Evans, Benkovic, Soyuncu, Darnell, Morgan and Benny. Makes seven.

Even if we loan out Morgan and Benny we'll have five centre halfs.

Benkovic looks a cert now.  And if this guy comes, and we don't sell Maguire, we'll have six centre halfs.

Either we're selling Maguire or we're going three at the back.

Top didn't sell Mahrez in the last window. Puel didn't sell Van Dijk. And Puel wants ball playing defenders.

If this guy comes looks like three at the back to me.

I doubt it’s either of these reasons.

We’re probably going to end up with 5 options for the centre back roles. Maguire,  Evans, The Turk, Benkovic and Morgan

Realistically we need 5 good options. Last season proved that we needed 5, as the injuries struck. We were left with Benny, Amartey and Fuchs!

We will have injuries again, especially to Evans. Benny won’t be named eligible for the 25 man prem sqaud.

It actually makes sense

Makes sense I guess although I'd love to see Chilwell and Richardo as wing backs. I think some of the new guys can play as full backs if needed. End of last season probably proved taking risks on injuries and playing Morgan and Simpson won't work for Puel. I'm still hoping for the wing backs tactic though!

Have we had any of our European / world football experts tell us whether this lad is any good?

I'm not getting excited until i see a silly chart demonstrating his past completion on a frosty day in outer Siberia...

Can't see Darnell being involved tbh, but 5 CB's is the norm for most big clubs, especially considering only Maguire, Evans and possibly Soyuncu will be considered starters. Benkovic will have to be patient but still likely get some minutes and start cup games and Darnell will continue in the development squad I would have thought.

I also think it’s universally appreciated that Morgan’s best days are behind him, bless.

Usually the the club captain attends the PL opening thing bob, yesterday. We sent Schmeichel, who will no doubt be our on field captain this season, as I can’t see Morgan playing in the prem as often

I don't see anything in Puel's management history that suggests he will play 3 in the back.

Club are going to try and get some use out of Benny by utilising him as a programme seller.

Not sure I'd be comfortable getting a ride in a coach driven by Benny.. someone known to be rash, randomly loses his head, and calls himself a hitman...

Edit: Actually just saw we were talking about Morgan. He'd be alright I guess.

We switched to that as a necessity during games or when chasing a goal, but I agree that there's nothing from Puel's past or these most recent friendlies that suggests we'll start games with 3 in the back.

Anyone know if this guy is even in the country?

Believe in Germany. As I posted earlier, I recall he was Injured at Freiburg’s Austrian  Training camp 2 weeks back and I read somewhere out for 3/4 weeks??

The best thing about signing Soyuncu is looking on Twitter and seeing just how salty the Arsenal fans are that he's joining us and not them. Apparently he was a top target for them lol

I said yesterday that they'll cry about this.

Just waiting on DT and Troopz to make a vlog about Kroenke being a cvnt.

Careful now, let's not go chicken counting. There could be some sulky faces if we're still Benny and Wes come Friday.

..and some bleeding wrists if this form is anything to go by.

Aye, according to Transfermarkt he was injured 2 weeks ago, but looks like he should be back pretty soon. But according to reports he is in Germany and will do his medical there.
