I heard this one is 76% done.

Ok great, let’s get these two done, put a 200m tag on HM to make it clear he’s not for sale, then let’s get Bailey/Hazard in. It’s all trophies after that lads.

I simply can't see any European club offering more than Man Utd will. He's either going to them or staying with us imo.

The question is, are we going to buy both centre backs? If so, I just think someone will be going.

I wouldn't be surprised if we would accept considerably less from a foreign team. Firstly it would get him out of the league so he wouldn't be playing against us and secondly I think the club would find it harder to deny maguire a move to somewhere like real madrid or bayern munich than man utd. Of course though it's all just speculation.

What's Martin said? Did he get his Harvester?

I honestly don’t see us buying two quality CB’s AND keeping Big H.

Makes sense, our two first choice full backs are much better as wing backs than they are as defenders. Meanwhile, we're very thin on the ground for wingers, haven't bothered replacing Mahrez sufficiently and only really brought in a budget reserve wing option who can also double as Maddison cover.

I'm normally the last to start raving about 352 but it's starting to add up.

Besides, Evans is old and Maguire will go eventually although not this season. Surely we're better getting in young replacements now than panic buying later?

Maybe, shock of shocks, we're learning from our mistake with Riyad and getting replacements in early.

I think signing both is actually a really smart move from Leicester.

We have Morgan who is declining fast and I think will be gone in January or at least fazed out from first team duties. Benny is useless and should be given away. We will do well to hang on to Maguire for another season and he will most likely go next Summer. Evans, is a great signing but may struggle to play 38 games plus cup ones. Having two young, talented CB's transitioned into the first team over this season and next, is good planning!

But if you ever need someone injured, Benny is your guy

I agree it makes sense Finners - but when have LCFC done much that makes sense?

Explains not buying a guaranteed winger situation, they must feel that getting in CBs and freeing up Pereira/Chilwell will plug that gap.

Think with the right Centre backs it would suit us.

I agree, and we have Johnson coming up behind these 2 (only 19?), as well as Hughes and Knight. This represents fantastic forward development, and for me it is almost a bigger statement of intent than a big name signing.

Assuming Puel's input has been significant this summer, I am impressed with his building of the squad. My only concern - the other main job of the manager is to get the formation and playing style on the pitch right.  This has been a worry; I hope that with the squad being more to his liking then he can be more convincing in that respect this season.

Is it just me that feels this statement put out by his agent is trying to rustle a bit of last minute intrest from some of the bigger boys?

Why can't it be done? It's just a number on a bit of paper.

*Warning*  Another 3 at the back theory...

------------------Kasper-------------------

------Maguire--Evans--Soyuncu-----

Ricardo--------------------------Chilwell

--------------Silva-----N'didi-------------

------------------Maddison--------------

----------Iheancho-----Vardy------------

Reason why we haven't signed a decent winger perhaps? No offence Rachid.

It gets Iheanacho and Vardy in the team together.

Plays to Ricardo and Chilwell's strengths.

Maguire absolutely excels in a 3, as well as Soyuncu by the sounds of it.

Obviously Puel hasn't played this formation at all in pre-season, but he's had no Vardy or Maguire and perhaps he finally sees this as an option to get the most out of certain players.

I personally think it would be our best formation and a system that gets our best players out on the pitch.

Like the look of that side, I have to say.

I personally feel this is our strongest eleven. I think putting any wingers in that we currently have ultimately weakens our team to be honest.

I like this formation and selection a lot.
