I personally feel this is our strongest eleven. I think putting any wingers in that we currently have ultimately weakens our team to be honest.

Also gives us ability to play Gray as a CAM or CF should we need

Benkovic wants his own personal CB? Shocking grammar

If we are moving to 3 at the back then we need another LWB as comp for Chilwell unless Albrighton is back up for both RWB & LWB

Is it just me that feels this statement put out by his agent is trying to rustle a bit of last minute intrest from some of the bigger boys?

I don't think it really matters. If more desirable clubs than us were interested in him they'd be given the nod that he'll be signing for Leicester in the nest 24 hours unless they make a move even if we were totally oblivious to this signing happening.

*Warning*  Another 3 at the back theory...

------------------Kasper-------------------

------Maguire--Evans--Soyuncu-----

Ricardo--------------------------Chilwell

--------------Silva-----N'didi-------------

------------------Maddison--------------

----------Iheancho-----Vardy------------

Reason why we haven't signed a decent winger perhaps? No offence Rachid.

It gets Iheanacho and Vardy in the team together.

Plays to Ricardo and Chilwell's strengths.

Maguire absolutely excels in a 3, as well as Soyuncu by the sounds of it.

Obviously Puel hasn't played this formation at all in pre-season, but he's had no Vardy or Maguire and perhaps he finally sees this as an option to get the most out of certain players.

I personally think it would be our best formation and a system that gets our best players out on the pitch.

Couldnt agree more. That is our best 11 bar none. Looks awesome. Surely Puel must see this provided we retain HM.

That looks sexy and that is also the reason it won’t happen.

352 is useful but I prefer 4231, and i think Puel prefers that too.

I don't prefer it with the wingers we have now, but I still think Puel does.

Find it hard to believe we going 3 at the back having not tried it once all pre season! Yes players haven’t been available but why haven’t we tried it, we’ve had the midfielders available and would of been no harm playing an under 23 striker in vardys role in his absence.

Not right now but one good season in the championship and you're worth about 20 million these days

right so you answered you own post really, if they are not the same ability when why would we want them in the first team?

WE'RE GOING 4 2 1 3

I agree, if we are going 3 at the back and didn't play it in any of the preseason games, it's a bit odd?

Makes sense, our two first choice full backs are much better as wing backs than they are as defenders. Meanwhile, we're very thin on the ground for wingers, haven't bothered replacing Mahrez sufficiently and only really brought in a budget reserve wing option who can also double as Maddison cover.

I'm normally the last to start raving about 352 but it's starting to add up.

Besides, Evans is old and Maguire will go eventually although not this season. Surely we're better getting in young replacements now than panic buying later?

Maybe, shock of shocks, we're learning from our mistake with Riyad and getting replacements in early.

30 is not old for a CB

Pereira can play LWB and has done under Puel at Nice, Albrighton RWB. So any two of those three can cover both positions no problem.
