Let's be honest, Vardy really doesn't get enough love on Foxestalk. In his 6 years at the Club both of us have gone from scrappy Championship underachievers to nonchalantly scoring goals away at big clubs and even won the Top division in the country, possibly World. His name is at the forefront of those who have made the biggest impact for the club ever, even considering the other names of our 2015/16 squad, with Mahrez, Kante, Wes, Kasper, Huth; Vards is undoubtebly one who made most of the headlines - 11 Premier League games in a row, overtaking the 2003 Van Nistelrooy's rampant twelve year standing goal spree record; all the great strikers since, Aguero, Van Persie, Rooney, Drogba, Suarez, Heskey, Torres, Lukaku, Kane, Diego Costa, even those before, Shearer, Henry, Bergkamp never could do what a Leicester City player did(not to completely say he's definitively better individually as a player but it is an incredible achievement when weighing everything up).

 

His best moments have to begin right from his performance away against Blackburn in one of his first matches at Leicester. we lost 2-1 but Vardy showed a tiny spark of what he would go on to achieve, with fans quickly gaining some enthusiasm towards him as a player. The rest of that 2012/13 season there was a big drop off in form during which the majority of fans on FT believed his future at a club aiming towards getting out of the Championship wasn't going to be a success. Then he has another Championship season 2013/14 where in the very first match against Middlesborough away he scored a scorcher placed into the top corner after a perfect touch and run into the box that decided the result. Later on he scored probably the biggest goal of that season away at QPR who were considered to be the main challengers to our newfound aspirations at the top of the Football League, from that QPR game on the 21st of December until we were crowned FL Champions we stayed on top of the League. Then his first Premier League season - didn't impress against Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal or even Stoke away; to then play starring role in probably one of the best Premier League games of all time, scoring the goal to put us up 4-3 up after being 3-1 down, setting up a goal with urgency after we went 2-0 down, winning a penalty, getting a man sent off winning another penalty doing so, letting Cambiasso run through his path in the box for the equaliser, all in one match - a magical day that 21st of September no Leicester fan will probably ever forget.  Even most of the winning days ontop of the Premier League didnt buzz as much as that one Sunday when we demolished the Red Devils.

 

Then we won the title, 24 goals in the League. It was all his as he smashed the record against United, goals throughout against the lesser teams helping the points tally up, his energy setting the tone for the whole Club as even a future World Cup winning and now undoubtedly one of the top two or three midfielders in the world N'Golo Kante looking like just another one of Leicester City's talents alongside Riyad Mahrez. Champions League appearances, World Cup and EUROs callups with occasional caps, reliable goals recently against the big clubs, goal of the season winner just a few months ago. The list could go on and on.

 

So I'm looking forward to more magical moments these next four years. He will probably still get alot of critisism here on FT in future, he might lose his place in the starting line up, he might move on for a last payday or go to another team for minutes but the things Vardy has now done and the story written in that time has to be seen as something that affected the very soul of Leicester City

Kante gets the adulation that he was a freak and a phenomenon that helped us achieve the unthinkable and then departed as quickly as he arrived and delivered. Mahrez was just outrageous and didn't really fit the stereotype of a Leicester player and is genuinely one of the most gifted players in football. Vardy, however is simply colossal. He's the ultimate footballing story, nobody can get near him in recent times for what he's achieved. He's also got a style of play that no other striker in the land is as good as him. He's a joy to watch, makes me proud to support Leicester and I hope he's here for another 5-10 seasons.

 

He's a legend in every sense. A complete one off. What a man.

Jamie Vardy is Mr Leicester City. When ever i speak with online gamers or meet someone abroad and the topic turns to football and i tell them my team is LCFC, the reply is always the same. 'Ahh Jamie Vardy'

Jamie Vardy has been a central figure in our club's most glorious moments.  He didn't leave when he could which is unusual in modern football.

 

He should be regarded as a club legend and I only hope in a few seasons time when his speed and ability drops off with age that he is treated with the respect he deserves.  I look at some of the comments about our title winning captain Wes with disbelief.

We're incredibly lucky to have him. You think back on cult hero English strikers who actually won silverware in the Premier League era and the list is short.
