My "All time favourite-but-not-necessarily-best Leicester XI"

               Schmeichel

Whitlow, Morgan, Walsh, Fuchs

                   Kante

    Zagorakis, Izzet, King

            Vardy Heskey

Subs - Poole, Taggart, Elliott, Cambiasso, Knockaert, Okazaki, Cottee

That was a hell of a lot harder to do than I thought it would be. I'm a goalkeeper myself and I really could have filled my be changed with keepers. I've loved so many of the City keepers I've seen in my time! Walker, flowers, Keller, even Zeljko Kalac is a Leicester legend as far as I'm concerned!

What???... no Martin Hodge or Kevin "The Cat" Poole?... disappointed

my personal favourite:

Muzzy Izzet

Pontus Kamark

Tommy Wright

special mention to Tony Cottee

Loads come to mind!

Iwan Roberts

Lenny

Muzzy

Walsh

But probably my favourite ever was Steve Thompson. I used to love how he controlled the midfield and the equaliser against Swindon was one of best ever City moments.

Yep moved back here after he retired from football and became a local Copper . Not sure if he still is

Think he moved to Lutterworth. He did live a few doors up from me in Harborough about 12 years ago.

Saw him in a car park in Harborough about 20 years ago, and I just started singing “it’s not god it’s only Andy Peake” it was completely involuntary and embarrassing. Nice bloke, he came over and had a chat.

I know some of our younger correspondents will not know he played for us, but as a young lad supporting Leicester with my home-knitted blue and white bobble hat on, I thought Eddie Kelly was the best footballer in the world!

Arthur Rowley.

Absolute gentleman, the nicest footballer I ever met, plus Leicester City record holder for most goals in a season. 265 goals in just 321 appearances. The best ratio of any Leicester City player.

I was hoping for some unpredictable responses - however, seeing Vardy's name crop up so much really drives home just how deep feelings are for him, and I cannot disagree with that either.

From yesteryear Lineker, Walsh, Muzzy, Joachim and Heskey and from the title winning season Schlupp, Kante and Shinji and from the current regulars Maguire and Vardy. If you exclude his mardys then Mahrez.

Fantasy reunion team:

               Keller

  Maguire Walsh Schlupp

Shinji Kante Muzzy Joachim

  Linekar Heskey Vardy

Subs: Mahrez

It might not be the most balanced teams I admit.
