They're not saying we came up with the most points or are gonna win the league or anything. They mean we have instantly looked the most at home in the league in terms of playing personnel, the manager, results, style of play, etc. And they're probably right. It's not just Phil Neville either: Fans of all teams have their idiots so apologies for the ones on here who can never see any grey and just go full on mental in one direction or another. Wolves look a very good team and they are doing well. It is, however, a little premature to be talking about how good a team is after so few games. I personally think you will finish in the bottom half (but not go down) which is still great for a team's first season. Just staying in this league is an achievement. Where I think some of the issues highlighted on here stem from is that the media seem to pick random teams/players/managers each year to either have a love in with or to destroy and Wolves have certainly been getting maybe ever so slightly more praise than they are worth (even though you are worthy of lots). I still think you will struggle and if you lose a couple it will be interesting to see how you cope but best of luck and I hope you stay up. X Edited 25 September 2018 by RumbleFox 1

Let's see how they're doing after 20 when the other teams have worked them out. Not to mention when they pick up some injuries and suspensions. Yes, they knock it around nicely at times but they've only scored 6 goals in 6 PL games - only 6 teams have scored fewer. Let's see what happens when they play the big boys. Let's see what happens when Vardy is suspended. Let's see what happens when they play teams fighting for their lives.

Let's see what happens when they play teams fighting for their lives. My point was that it is too early to draw any conclusions about Wolves' start to the season, either positively or negatively. I remember how Hull were promoted under Phil Brown a few years back and started brilliantly, winning 3-1 at Arsenal when the latter were a strong team, and being top 3 in November. They ended up finishing 17th and surviving on goal difference. If I was a Wolves' fan I'd be concerned about the lack of goals, especially given that they are generally playing well. 1
Lovejoy Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 I'm staggered people would cite Wolves fan base as a reason to be salty with them. We have a minority who hope we lose every game so it suits their agenda of hating the coach and certain players. We're fighting for the top half again which, one season aside, throughout my lifetime has been as good as it's got. We make bugger all noise supporting our team home and away, and plenty leave early when we're winning. Anyone would think we're entitled and deluded. Our fans are not in a place to be hating Wolves because their fans are getting excited at where they could go . 4
rachhere Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Looking forward to being able to pop down the road for this one. I am expecting a strong side, based on the Fleetwood line up (which somewhat frustratingly seemed stronger than the line up against Man City in the quarter finals last year), and think that Puel had one eye on this match when picking his team for Saturday. Expecting Ricardo and Gray to feature seeing they didn't start against Huddersfield. I will go for: Ward Ricardo Soyuncu Evans Fuchs Albrighton Silva Iborra Gray Shinji Vardy As someone was saying, Vardy is a bit rusty at the moment, so would be good to give him a run out. Three of Madisson, Chilwell, Ghezzal and Nacho to come on as subs. 1

It definitely is still early days, but we don't look like a team who'll get into trouble. We create loads of chances but haven't gotten clinical yet. God help you all if we do

The Bear Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 No. But we came back from 3-0 at half time to beat some useless shower 4-3 though. We've beaten Man Utd at home in the PL twice in 5 attempts. They're nowt special.

I don't think anyone has a problem with their fan base, more the fact the media have been all over them since the moment they got promoted. It's getting old now, they're not that good. They will finish at the high end of the lower half of the table but the media would have you believe they'll be in Europe next season.
