BraunstoneFox23 Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 No idea what to make of this one! We should have a better second-string team than a newly promoted side though, so I'll say we'll edge them with a nice 1-0 scuffed barely over the line by Shinji.
EnderbyFox Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Plenty of channels broadcasting, definitely be a stream 1

les-tah Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 My guess Ward, Ricardo, Morgan, Soyuncu, Fuchs , Silva, Iborra Albrighton, Gray, Ghezzal Okazaki
filbertway Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Based on what Puel said for the Fleetwood games I believe we're taking the domestic cups seriously this year so I can see a strong team being put out. Ward Perreira Morgan Soyuncu Chillwell Silva Iborra Albrighton Maddison Gray Vardy

Expect Choudhury to see some minutes as well. Will be interesting to see what substitutions we make. Could go very differently based on how the scoreline is looking, particularly with no extra time before penalties.
La-li-lu-le-lo Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Is it that hard to admit Wolves are a pretty decent side, and will more than likely finish above us this season? I’m convinced that we will be easy picking for some teams this seasons (as showcased at Bournemouth) due to the soft centre Claude has given us... against a full strength wolves team at the Molineux in our current state, I do not think we stand a chance of beating them. We were lucky against them at our place and effectively fumbled our way to victory, if Raul had taken his chances it would have been curtains after 15 minutes.
djskydiver Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Does anyone know if this will be aired on LCFC Player tonight?

Vinagre, Traore and Gibbs-White are the ones to watch out for if it's that lineup. I was wondering on Ruben Vinagre, I know he's a youngster and was on loan with you last season but didn't make as many appearances as most of the Portuguese contingent. What's his potential like an do you reckon the plan was always to sign him on promotion regardless of how often he played last year? Just curious. 1
LCCFox96 Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Tough game tonight, but I'm quietly confident. I'm excited to see Soyuncu for the first time (I hope) and I think we've got very decent strength in depth with the likes of Silva, Iborra and Okazaki to come in. If things come together on the night for the team that Puel puts out we've every chance of progressing. A good opportunity for us should we progress as there are quite a few all PL ties with the bigger/in form teams too - Liverpool vs Chelsea, Spurs vs Watford, Everton vs Southampton - whilst Palace, Burnley and Fulham are all on the road. I'd like us to make a real fist of the Carabao Cup, for what it's worth, this year. Still feels like a missed opportunity getting knocked out to a second string City side last year.

It's these type of posts, that one questions.. If you hadn't noticed..Wolves have already built and accumulated a good quality squad of players. At present an un-proven PL squad, but that doesn't mean it lack potential!!! Away from the Banter..a neutrals dark horse for top 8-6.That presently seems they can more than hold their own. A True Leicester fan..especially must recognise underdog attributes, and not take on the shi*t that others dished out in our direction. I like Wolves and their manager,It looks an honest group...mind you I am weird,I like Burnley a nd Bournemouth, and respect also their Fight and spirit,in this PL....because you see...we are all the "nobodies". There are no different levels of nobodies... Ps...well there are Nobodies with PL titles. Edited 25 September 2018 by fuchsntf

We thought we weren't going to sign him permanently but apparently we got him quite cheaply in the end for a few million Euros. Just won the U19 European Championship with Portugal this summer. He also made a mug of Kyle Walker at the Etihad with one bit of skill when Walker came on in extra time in the League Cup tie last season. He played a few times and scored a couple in the Championship but he was never going to get in ahead of Douglas at that point. He has everything to be the real deal though, he just needs game time really. Edited 25 September 2018 by The Bear 1

We have a minority who hope we lose every game so it suits their agenda of hating the coach and certain players. We're fighting for the top half again which, one season aside, throughout my lifetime has been as good as it's got. We make bugger all noise supporting our team home and away, and plenty leave early when we're winning. Anyone would think we're entitled and deluded. Our fans are not in a place to be hating Wolves because their fans are getting excited at where they could go . I beg to differ. Wolves have been writing cheques they cannot cash before a ball was even kicked. It is arrogance and delusion on an almost Tottenham-esque level. Lots of promoted teams have made waves in their first year as has been said earlier in this thread. Going back beyond the PL era, Forest and Ipswich won the league in their first year and Watford finished runners up in theirs and they did it the hard way rather than the dodgy Wolves Mendes connection. To be fair they look a good team (if lacking a cutting edge) but nowhere near as good as they seem to think. A little humility would have gone a long way in engendering a little good will. The Bear Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Looks like Cavaleiro might play tonight as he's just posted a preview of the game on his Instagram. He's a first team player but hasn't played this season yet due to a back injury. Looking forward to seeing him back as he often made things happen for us last season.
mazarron fox Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Doubt Okazaki will play he featured and scored last night
KingsX Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Wolves’ problem has obviously been poor finishing; they create quality chances. https://understat.com/league/EPL confirms they have the largest excess of expected goals over actual goals in the PL. * For now they look like a variation on last year’s Liverpool joke, with a jalopy front end bolted onto a Porsche midsection. If they can acquire (or develop) a finisher, some of the hype will pan out. * on the opposite side, we are about even with Arsenal as the club with the biggest excess of goals (11) over xG (6.7).

Lesta Legend Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 4 hours ago, Sunbury Fox said: Wolves have proven nothing yet. They've played just 6 games. Let's see how they're doing after 20 when the other teams have worked them out. Not to mention when they pick up some injuries and suspensions. Yes, they knock it around nicely at times but they've only scored 6 goals in 6 PL games - only 6 teams have scored fewer. Indeed, they play some good stuff - they played Man U off the pitch IMO - and they'll not struggle in a relegation scrap by any means, but as far as their attack is concerned it is their one glaringly obvious weakness. So a good team yes, the best team ever to come out of the Championship - I'm sure Mr Neville is mildly embarrassed by the fact 'his' team (Man U) failed to really test Wolves on home soil - so by default, he makes an ill thought out comment and as a relatively good pundit - everyone hard of thinking jumps on and the creaming section commences. The bear seems a well balanced guy and has been round these parts many years, but there are a lot of extremely vocal delusional Wolves fans on social media who quite frankly seem to spoil the image of the balanced few like Bear. As far as the game is concerned, a few changes for the fringe players to come in and Soyuncu I hope gets a chance. You never know with these games as both teams usually field weakened sides at this stage.
