Captain... Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 (edited) Maguire, Kasper, Ndidi, Maddison and Chilwell have played a lot of football for us and internationals. Everyone else should be well rested. C’mon Claude play 3 at the back: Ward Morgan Soyuncu Evans Ricardo ————————Albrighton Mendy Hamza Silva Vardy Nacho Something like that not really sure who can play LWB if we rest Chilwell. FoxFossil Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 Is King eligible to play? If he's not playing in the cup matches, why is he still on the books?
steveherbe Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 For those suggesting resting Kasper - wtf? He did diddly squat yesterday, he's a goalkeeper, he should be able to play a game every day of the week. My guess is, he works harder in training than a match day. Play him, he needs the practice!

He has, and even if he's not then bring him off after 65-70 mins. He's still got a lot to offer and Chilwell could only dream about having Fuchs ability to cross and pass. 4

Fair enough stick Fuchs in still love the guy even if he’s just killing time before he moves to the States.
StanSP Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 Schmeichel Amartey/Simpson - Morgan - Evans/Soyuncu - Fuchs Ghezzal - Silva - Iborra - Albrighton Iheanacho - Okazaki Expect many changes from both sides with league a priority. I don't expect to win either but obviously would be nice to.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 Strong as possible please lets have a good crack at both cups this year please City 2

Webbo Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 The game is being shown in Portugal, should be a stream. 2
Gazza M Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 Hard to predict what selection we are going to turn out here. I have the feeling that this is a comp we are taking very serious and I expect a strong team. Ward Amartey Evans Soyuncu Fuchs Iborra Silva Gray Okazaki Albrighton Iheanacho Subs: Jakupovic, Morgan, Chilwell, Ricardo, Ghezzal, Ndidi, Vardy

Wolves 1-2 Leicester Reckon we'll rest entire team, 11 changes. Why would you do anything else? Rest of squad still need match time and U23's in team played better than some of the regulars!

Personally I don't think we've taken either cup seriously since returning to the PL. I'm expecting lots of changes from both sides, just hoping our B team is better than theirs.

One bloke saying that he will be disappointed if they don't finish in the top four and make a domestic cup final. Granted they've been playing some good stuff and have a couple of genuine quality players but they seem more delusional than the Spurs mob. You seem to forget we are about to play the biggest and best team in the Midlands... they are the second coming
Clever Fox Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 A difficult game which ever way you look at it. I don't think they have the dept of squad we have. So they could be very strong or quite weak. I just hope we make a serious effort to win it, otherwise why bother entering.

I take it he's injured, as doubt he's fallen out of favour as he can pose a different type of threat. Horrid run of form, seems bereft of confidence and hasn’t been able to find the back of the net lately for the U23s.

The team we ran out against Fleetwood was a strong side; I expect more of the same.

Pretty much what I was thinking, and by the looks of it, a lot of people on here too (or similar). Maybe Gray in there somewhere. I think we have a much better second string than Wolves so confident we'll win this. If this was a Prem game I think we would lose. 1
